It was an honour for PROTON to host a brief engagement with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during his official state visit to Malaysia from 9 to 10 October 2026. The session took place at Kompleks Seri Perdana, Putrajaya, hosted by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

This engagement with the Arab Republic of Egypt delegations, led by His Excellency, signals a strong commitment to deepening collaboration between both nations with PROTON being one of the strategic positioning in the Egyptian market.

Through its local partner, since 2024 Proton Saga has began its assembly in Egypt; and expecting more new models would be introduced in near future.

It is with deep sadness that PROTON extends our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, a distinguished figure who dedicated her life to serving the nation.

To PROTON, the late Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah will always remain an integral part of our national car company's early story, a journey she shared alongside her husband, former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, during the foundational moments of our history.

Beyond her role in PROTON’s legacy, Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah’s broader contributions as a pioneering physician, a devoted public figure, and a compassionate advocate will forever be remembered and honored.

May Almighty God bestow His mercy upon her soul and grant her peace among the righteous.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and the entire family during this time of loss.

The Proton e.MAS 5 officially launched in Nepal, marking the 2nd nation to follow through since its launch in Malaysia back in October of 2025.

The Proton e.MAS 5, developed by Geely, has gained global acceptance with over 800,000 customers worldwide. This global scale assures customers of the model’s quality, technology, and long-term support.

In Nepal, the Proton e.MAS 5 is available in Prime and Premium variants as a compact electric SUV for everyday mobility. It features advanced connectivity, practical interior, and a competitive driving range, catering to urban customers’ needs. Jagdamba Motors launched a special introductory campaign for early buyers, offering Rs. 29.99 lakhs for the Prime variant and Rs. 34.99 lakhs for the Premium variant.

It was a pleasure hosting our international media friends for the recent 2026 International Media Experience, showcasing PROTON’s global EV vision.

Across multiple days, our guests got an immersive look into PROTON's ecosystem; starting with a deep tour of our main plant in Tanjong Malim, followed by hands-on track time testing the e.MAS 5, e.MAS 7, and e.MAS 7 PHEV.

The group also got a chance to engage with PROTON’s pavilion at KLIMS 2026 before flying to China to meet with our partners at the Geely Research Institute in Hangzhou Bay.
