🌳Protecting Penang’s natural heritage through responsible construction.🚠

Last week, Hartasuma Group and Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) welcomed the Department of Environment (DOE) Penang to the Penang Hill Cable Car Development construction site. During the visit, our team presented our monthly environmental sampling data and demonstrated our active Best Management Practices (BMPs) on the ground. This includes the deployment and maintenance of perimeter silt fences, sedimentation basins, and daily dust control measures. We are deeply mindful of the environment and remain strictly compliant with all EIA and EMP standards. Collaborating directly with agencies and partners ensures we build a world-class transit system while preserving the hill's natural ecosystem.

Sharing engineering expertise across borders.

Throwback to a highly engaging technical visit last week. Hartasuma Group was honoured to partner with Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) to welcome 45 delegates from the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM/LJM), Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore, and JKR to our Penang Hill Cable Car development site. It was a productive session exchanging technical insights on the unique logistical and construction challenges of building transit infrastructure on complex hill terrain. We are glad to participate in these knowledge-sharing platforms with key government agencies from both Malaysia and Singapore as we steadily advance this project.

🎊 Celebrating 142 years of natural heritage at the Penang Botanic Gardens. 🎉

Throwback to last Wednesday, when our teammates represented Hartasuma Group at the Botanic Badge Fun Walk 2026. We were deeply honoured to receive an invitation and glad to support this meaningful event. It was a productive morning connecting with the community and catching up with En. Mohamad Hasbi, Director of Jabatan Taman Botani. A poignant reminder from the event was that the Gardens' 142-year legacy is a shared responsibility that we must preserve for the next generation. This message resonates deeply with our core mission. This is why we are here - to elevate the visitors' experience to the hill whilst preserving the hill with minimal impact.
