General Lee - MALTA 1969 Dodge Charger known as the General Lee, signed and driven by John Schneider known as Bo Duke in the tv series Dukes of Hazzard aired from 1979-1985.

The General Lee is a 1969 Dodge Charger 440 with the 440-cubic-inch Magnum V8 engine with 500 horses! Over 250 Dodge Chargers were used on the Dukes of Hazzard teleseries because once a car was jumped it was not used again The shock of the impact completely destroyed the structural integrity of the car. The General Lee was painted bright orange and had a confederate flag on the roof and the number

'01' on the door. The General Lee in Malta is the one built as a replica by John Snhneider 'Bo' and his friend BJ Lawson. Through email John replied that he is glad his car wounded up with someone who appreciates both the car and its sentimental value! Luckily this General Lee is in MALTA since July 2009 !

We are deeply saddened to share the sad news on the passing of Cooter Davenport "Ben Jones".
Our thoughts and prayers go out to miss Alma Viator and Ben's entire family and friends. Ben has done more for the Dukes Of Hazzard than anyone. Love you Ben. From all of your fans and the Northeast Ohio Dukes !

UPDATE: Catherine Bach remains in the hospital. But John Schneider has contacted her by text, and Cathy assured him that she will be fine! (Understandably, her scheduled appearance at Cooter's Place this weekend is canceled.)

For those of y'all who missed the prior post, Cooter's Place shared the news that Catherine Bach had been hospitalized the evening of Oct 30 due to an embolism.

We continue to share our prayers and good wishes for Cathy's speedy recovery! Keep an eye on John Schneider's page and Cooter's Place for further updates.
