We had the privilege of hosting the Cabinet Secretary of Agriculture & Livestock Development, Hon. Mutahi Kagwe, who graced the Nairobi International Trade Fair (NITF) 2026 as the Chief Guest. The CS was accompanied by the Principal Secretary Dr. Paul Ronoh.
During his visit, the CS toured our exhibition stand at the Ministry of Defence Pavilion, where we are showcasing NMC’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities, including Mavuno water pumps for irrigation, assorted gears, shafts, biogas solutions and other locally manufactured products.
Our participation aligns with this year’s theme of “Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth.”

We were honoured to host the Principal Secretary, State Department for Trade, Ms. Regina Ombam, at the NMC exhibition stand during the ongoing Kisumu National Show.

The Principal Secretary was received by our Managing Director, Mr. George Makateto, who took her through NMC's mandate, core engineering capabilities, products and the critical role we play in supporting Kenya's industrialization agenda through innovative engineering solutions and local manufacturing.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Senior team from National Defence University -K led by the Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. Tarus. The team was received by the Managing Director Mr. George Makateto and Management team . The discussions centred on areas of collaboration namely; training, Research and Development, intellectual property among other areas.

The team toured the CNC and Foundry workshops where we undertake machining, fabrication and casting of various products.

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting students from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, during their academic visit to NMC.

The visit forms part of our continued collaboration with learning institutions aimed at bridging classroom knowledge with practical industry experience. The students had an opportunity to interact with real work processes and gain firsthand exposure to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering applications within a manufacturing environment.
