⚠️ Engineers Today, I want to share an important lesson that every phone repair engineer should think about 🧏🏾‍♂️

A customer brought in a phone for repair.📱

The technician did his job professionally and fixed the phone.

Before leaving, the customer asked, "Please check if the network is working. The last technician who repaired my phone disappointed me."

Wanting to help, the technician inserted his own SIM card into the customer's phone to test it.

Everything worked perfectly.

The customer paid and left.

Three days later...

Police officers walked into the technician's shop.

He was shocked.

The phone he had repaired had reportedly become part of an ongoing criminal investigation. During the investigation, the technician's SIM card appeared as one of the most recent SIM cards used in the phone.

Imagine trying to explain that you only inserted your SIM card for a few minutes to test the network.

Whether you're eventually cleared or not, you may still face questioning, stress, legal costs, lost business, and damage to your reputation.

My advice to every mobile phone technician is simple:

Never use your personal SIM card to test a customer's phone.

Ask the customer to provide their own SIM card, or use a dedicated workshop test SIM that is properly managed and used only for diagnostics.

It takes only a few seconds to insert a SIM card, but those few seconds could lead to days, weeks, or even months of explaining yourself if the phone later becomes part of an investigation.

Protect your name.

Protect your business.

Protect your future.

Every experienced technician has one mistake they wish they had never made. Don't let this become yours.

If you're a phone technician, share this post. It might help someone avoid a problem they never saw coming.

IF YOU DIE TODAY, YOUR PHONE WILL BETRAY YOU

If you Pass on Today, your Phone will Betray you Before your Family finds Peace

Most people plan funerals in their head. Very few plan their digital death.

Your phone knows:
• Your secrets
• Your debts
• Your side hustles
•Your arguments
• Your evidence
And when you pass on, your phone does not pass on with you.

Family members will search it.
Employers may request it.
Lawyers may subpoena it.
Courts may rely on it.

Messages you forgot. Voice notes you sent carelessly. Documents you thought were private.
They don’t disappear because you’re gone. Your phone can determine how your estate is shared, who is trusted, who is blamed, and who is dragged into court.

People have lost inheritance because of chats.
Families have broken apart because of emails.
Cases have been reopened because of cloud backups.
Death does not erase digital records,
It activates them.

The law treats your device as a silent witness.
It does not care that you are no longer alive to explain context.

And the worst part?
Your loved ones will interpret your life through whatever your phone shows them whether it is complete or not.

If you think this doesn’t matter, ask yourself:

• Who has access to your phone right now?
• Who controls your cloud?
• Who understands what your files mean?

Silence after death is dangerous.
The modern legacy is not just property,
It is data and data does not mourn.
