🛑 Before you send money abroad for a car — five warning signs.

1️⃣ They ask you to pay into a personal bank account
A real company is paid into a company account, in the company's name. If the account is in a person's name, stop there. This one sign catches most of it.

2️⃣ The price is too good
A car worth $4,000 offered to you for $2,000. Nobody gives away money. If the number makes no sense, find out why before you let yourself get excited.

3️⃣ They rush you
"Pay today or you lose the car." Urgency is a tool. A real seller does not need to panic you into a transfer — and if a car really does sell, an honest seller will show you the next one.

4️⃣ The bank details change at the last minute
This is the one that catches careful, sensible people. A message arrives: the account has changed, please pay here instead. Real companies do not change bank accounts after you have agreed. If you ever receive a message like that — from us or from anyone — stop, and call the person you have been dealing with on the number you already had. Do not use a number from the new message.

5️⃣ No company name, no address, no registration — just a phone number
If you cannot establish who you are actually paying, you are not buying from a company.

That is not a scandal — it is just how the chain usually works. But every hand in the middle takes a margin, and that margin is your money. Here is what changes when you buy straight from the yard in Japan.

1️⃣ The price is the price
There is nobody standing between us adding their cut on top. Same car, fewer hands taking a slice of it.

2️⃣ The car is real, and we are standing next to it

💸 "$3,000 for this car." But that is not what you pay — and any seller who lets you believe it is, is not being straight with you.

Here is the honest breakdown, in three parts.

1️⃣ Our price — the car plus shipping to your port
Whether it's Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, or another port, you get one number that covers the car and the sea freight to that port. It does not change later.

2️⃣ Your government — duty and tax
This part is not ours, and we will never pretend otherwise. It depends on your country's rules, and usually on things like engine size and the age of the car. Only your own customs authority can give you that figure — be careful with any exporter who quotes it for you.

3️⃣ Clearing at your port
Your clearing agent's fee, the port charges, and transport from the port to your home. Also on your side.

Anyone who gives you one small number and hides the rest is not your friend.

🚢 How long does it really take to get your car from Japan?

Here is the honest answer — including the part most sellers skip.

1️⃣ After payment
We prepare the car and the papers. That takes a few days.

2️⃣ Then it waits for a ship
Your car waits for the next vessel going to your port. Ships do not leave every day, and this waiting period is the reason "two weeks" is never a real answer.

3️⃣ Then the sea
Japan → Mombasa, Kenya or Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: count roughly 4 to 6 weeks. Approximate — we confirm the actual schedule for your booking.

4️⃣ Then your port
Clearing and registration. This part is handled by your clearing agent and depends on your documents — we'll tell you exactly which documents you need, so nothing stalls at that stage.

⏳ So from your payment to your keys: think two months, not two weeks.

Anyone who promises you two weeks is guessing. We would rather tell you the truth now than apologise in week three.

What we promise instead: we tell you the shipping date, and we send you the documents. You always know where your car is.

📊 Is the mileage real?

You see 40,000 km on the dashboard. Can you trust it? It's a fair question — odometer tampering happens in used cars everywhere. But it is not a mystery, and you are not helpless. Here is exactly what you check.

1️⃣ The export certificate
The car's history in Japan is written down. The number on the paper should match the number you were told.

2️⃣ The inspection before shipping
An independent inspector checks the car — including the odometer — before it leaves Japan. Ask for that report.

3️⃣ The car itself
A genuinely low-mileage car looks it. Steering wheel, pedals, driver's seat. Pedals worn smooth on a car showing 40,000 km is telling you something.

So don't just accept a number. Ask for the papers. A serious seller sends them without any problem — and if a seller won't, that is your answer.
