Two poles and a heat win from me this weekend at Franciacorta, round 1 of the WSK Final Cup in Mini GR3.

Topped qualifying to take pole, then got caught up in contact in Heat 1 that dropped me all the way back to P21. Bounced straight back with a runner up in Heat 2 and a win in Heat 3 to end day one P6 overall. Sunday I topped the Superheat for a second pole of the weekend, but the Final didn't go my way. Tough way to finish, but the pace was there all weekend and that's what I'm taking from it.

Round 1 done., looking forward to the next one - something big(ger) is coming 👀

Alfie's taking his talent abroad at the tail end of September, heading out to the ACI Camp ITA at Viterbo in Italy. International racing is the perfect way to round out the month and bring home some valuable experience from one of Europe's top karting destinations.

Superheat pole this morning but a Final to forget.

Lacked power from the start and Alfie found himself falling back through the grid. Tried to overdrive the kart to compensate for it, and the tyres only really came alive on the last lap. Alfie then got squeezed off the track with one lap to go and crossed the line P27.

Tough way to finish Round 1 after topping the Superheat, but we know bigger things are to come 👀

Starting P3 in Superheat B at 10:45 UK (11:45 IT), then the Final at 14:05 UK (15:05 IT).

Heat 2 today I came home P2, and I knew there was more in the kart than that.

Found it in Heat 3 and took the win.

That puts me P6 overall in the classification after day one, and I start Superheat B from P3 tomorrow.

One more day of racing here at Franciacorta and I want to carry this pace straight into it.

What a start to WSK Final Cup Round 1 at Franciacorta.

Alfie topped his qualifying group to take pole in Mini GR3, then got caught up in contact out on track in Heat 1 that sent him from the front all the way back to P21. Highs and lows in the same day, but that's racing.

Group pole banked. Heads down and fully focused on getting stuck back in tomorrow.
