"THE PERFECT SYNTHESIS OF INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY"

The "FERRARI CALIFORNIA T" epitomises the sublime elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity that have distinguished every California model since the 1950s. It is a car brimming with innovation that will more than meet the expectations of discerning clients for whom fun behind the wheel is a priority, but who also demand a sumptuously comfortable Grand Tourer they can use every day.

The California T is a brilliant expression of Ferrari’s sporty DNA, while its retractable hard top (RHT) and 2+ configuration, amongst other features, make it supremely versatile.
Like all Ferraris, the California T boasts cutting-edge technological solutions that make it absolutely unique, most notably the new turbocharged V8 engine. Turbo technology has an honourable place in Prancing Horse’s engineering tradition, thanks to iconic models of the likes of the GTO of 1984 and the F40 of 1987. It is now also, of course, back at the heart of our latest F1 single-seater.

The arrival of the new Ferrari GTC4Lusso has changed the sporty four-seater four-wheel drive Grand Tourer concept forever. The GTC4Lusso’s name references illustrious predecessors, such as the 330 GTC or its 2+2 sister model, the 330 GT - one of Enzo Ferrari’s favourites – and the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, which represented a sublime combination of elegance and high performance. The number 4 alludes to the car’s four comfortable seats.

Kimi Raikkonen: Ferrari will respond to Williams F1 challenge
By Glenn Freeman and Lawrence Barretto Thursday, July9th 2015

Kimi Raikkonen believes Ferrari will be back stronger after an off-colour British Grand Prix showing, but Formula 1 rival Felipe Massa says Williams is in now in the fight with the Scuderia.

Ferrari spent most of the race in the lower-end of the points, while Williams' Massa and Valtteri Bottas fought with Mercedes, before the rain came, allowing Sebastian Vettel to jump ahead into third.

Raikkonen, who finished eighth after his gamble to make an early switch to intermediates did not pay off, said he felt Silverstone was an anomaly and expects Ferrari to be stronger in the upcoming races.

"We've seen at other circuits it depends a lot on the layout of the circuit and what tyres we run," said the Finn.

"I expect it to be a different story in the next race and at different circuits again.

"Silverstone is not ideal for us - the layout, conditions and tyres - but we have to improve and we have to try to get better whatever circuit it is.

"Hungary I'm sure it will [be better]. Silverstone was not the ideal weekend.

"The others were a bit faster. I'm sure it will be a bit more easy there but we will see."

But Massa believes that after a slow start to the season, Williams is now showing enough performance in both qualifying and race to consider it a big rival to Ferrari going forward.

"Unfortunately we started the season a little bit behind but maybe Sunday was a very interesting race to catch the Ferraris a little bit," he said.

"We have a quicker car in qualifying and in the race at Silverstone which has never happened this season. It shows we are in the fight.

"In Austria, we had the upgrades arrive in the car but it was not working the right way.

"But we understood where to make it work at Silverstone and everything we tried to change from the last race to this race it worked and the car was quicker.

"So I think we're showing one more time we know how to develop the car from the first race to the last race."

THE 290 MM WINS AT AMELIA ISLAND’S CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE

Maranello, 20 March – The Ferrari 290 MM restored by the Classiche Department at the end of last year has made a triumphant return to competition, winning “The Chairman’s Choice Trophy for the Car Found Most Appealing by the Chairman” at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. Significantly, final approval for the award came from Honorary Chairman Sir Stirling Moss who himself won two races for the Temple Buell team in the 290 MM at the fourth Bahamas Speed Week in Nassau in 1957.

BORN THE 860 MONZA. Built in 1956 to take part in sports prototype competitions, the 290 MM actually started life as the 860 Monza. Its maiden race was the Mille Miglia in which it competed as an official works car, finishing second overall thanks to the talents of English duo, Peter Collins and Louis Klementaski. In that same year, it also came second in the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti with Olivier Gendebien and Jacques Washer as well as third in the Targa Florio, with Hans Herrmann and Olivier Gendebien, and in the Aosta-Gran San Bernardo in the hands of Italian driver, Umberto Maglioli.

THE TRANSFORMATION. At the end of 1956, however, Enzo Ferrari decided to replace the 4-cylinder engine with a 12-cylinder, and the car was renamed the 290 MM. It made its debut under that moniker at the Buenos Aires 1000 Kilometres in January during which Wolfgang Von Trips, Peter Collins and Eugenio Castellotti drove it to third position. Eleven months later, it delivered the abovementioned two wins in the Bahamas with Stirling Moss. The following year, the great Dan Gurney delivered a second-place finish in the 290 MM at Watkins Glen and it continued racing until 1961. Years later, the 290 MM embarked on a second career, competing in the classic car races and concours d’elegance. It underwent major modifications after an accident but eventually its new owner decided to send it to the Classiche Department for radical restoration to return it to its original forms.

A photographer was killed in a car accident as he was attempting to take pictures of Justin Bieber's white Ferrari.

The incident took place Tuesday evening.

The fancy car was pulled over by California Highway Patrol for a routine traffic stop on Sepulveda Boulevard near the Getty Center in Los Angeles, reports tmz.com.

The photographer was advised by officers to move back because the situation was unsafe. He was then struck by another car and killed.

The identity of the photographer is yet to be revealed.

According to reports, Bieber himself was not in the car, and it was reportedly being driven by his friend. Another friend of the singer was said to be sitting in the passenger seat.
