P.E.S’s Modern College of Engineering SAE Collegiate Chapter
The SAE stands for the "Society of Automotive Engineers". It is an international organization dealing with automotive, marine and aeronautical engineering. The Modern COE chapter of the SAE is a collegiate chapter under this organization.
The collegiate chapter offers a wide variety of technical activities to boost the understanding of various engineering concepts.
There are a number of non-technical activities that are held to enlighten the students, like public speaking, group discussions, presentations and many more. The basic aim being to rid students of stage phobia.
Your formal education and professional development will be enhanced through your SAEINDIA member benefits. Many of these benefits and opportunities are outlined below:
•Student Members will be provided with I.D. and Password.
•SAEINDIA Collegiate Club organizes one day and overnight Industrial visit to various Industries in and around Pune.
•The Student members can issue books from the Automotive Research Association of India(ARAI) Library located at Kothrud.
•Through SAEINDIA student membership, students can enjoy many of the services made available to SAEINDIA’s regular members.
•Further, SAEINDIA Collegiate Clubs offer student members organized programs, design competition, networking opportunities with Industry leaders and leadership experience.
•SAEINDIA Student members will receive Automotive and Engineering magazines online for Free. The online magazines offer the same great technical content and additional features in a searchable PDF format.
For the annual membership SAEINDIA charges Rs. 450/- per student members. The membership procedure for the PES’s MCOE SAE collegiate chapter for the academic year 2013-14 will commence soon. Join the chapter to avail all the benefits.
