Bharat Forge signs MoU with Andhra Pradesh Government to establish India's first private-sector Marine Gas Turbine facility at Visakhapatnam

At the CII Annual Business Summit 2026, Mr. Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman & Joint Managing Director, Bharat Forge Limited, and Chair, CII Defence Steering Committee for Coordination with SIDM, shared sharp perspectives on navigating a rapidly evolving global trade and manufacturing landscape.

Agneyastra Energetics Breaks Ground on Strategic Defence Facility in Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh

The 1,000+ acre campus, with a planned investment of ₹1,500 crore, will focus on advanced energetics, ammunition systems, and high-energy materials.

The project is aligned with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative and contributes to the long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 by strengthening indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and Mr. Baba Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge Ltd.

Bharat Forge becomes First Indian Company to Secure Long-Term Contract with Embraer for Manufacturing of Landing Gear Forgings.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director, Bharat Forge Limited, said: “The fact that BFL is the first Indian supplier of forged components for Embraer is a proud moment & a testament to the capabilities we have built in the Aerospace business and we thank them for the trust they have reposed on BFL. We look forward to growing and adding value to our association with Embraer in the coming years. These contracts will enable to create scale for critical structural components complementing the scale built in the Aero Engine components space.”

Mr. Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain, Embraer, said: “In line with our supply chain diversification strategy, we view India as a major opportunity. This contract reinforces our plans to create a more resilient and competitive supply chain, as well as our commitment to developing the Indian aerospace industry.”

Discussing Bharat Forge’s financial results and the focus going forward, CMD Baba Kalyani and Vice Chairman and JMD Amit Kalyani shared the company’s vision in conversations with CNBC-TV18 and NDTV Profit, respectively.

“The automotive and industrial segments together are expected to deliver growth of over 25%. In addition, our defence business is projected to achieve growth of up to 50%, underscoring Bharat Forge’s strong momentum across diverse sectors.” Mr. Baba Kalyani said.
