Weโve reached the final lesson in my 12-part EDT series!
Driving at night brings additional challenges, making good observation, speed management and hazard awareness even more important.
In Lesson 12, weโre focusing on three key areas:
โ
Using Your Lights Correctly โ Knowing when to use dipped headlights, full beams and other vehicle lights without dazzling other road users.
โ
Responding to Other Road Users โ Recognising headlights, brake lights and indicators, and responding safely to emergency vehicles.
โ
Driving Safely in Darkness โ Adjusting your speed to reduced visibility, anticipating hazards and recognising the effects of tiredness.
๐ฏ Remember: See and be seen! Always drive at a speed that allows you to stop safely within the distance you can see to be clear.
๐ Completing your 12 EDT lessons is an important milestone, but learning doesnโt stop there! Continued practice and experience are essential to becoming a safe, confident driver.
