Irish Pressings was delighted yesterday to welcome Ms Eva McCafferty to our premises in Gweedore 😍

Eva is a very special girl and one of An Garda Síochána's Little Blue Heroes. Born with complex needs, Eva regularly requires specialist medical attention at hospitals across the country. A lifeline for Eva and her family in attending these appointments is the services of the BUMBLEance Children's Ambulance Service 🚑

The BUMBLEance is Ireland's only dedicated Children's Ambulance Service, a charity that provides free nationwide journeys for children with serious or life-limiting illnesses, transporting them to and from hospitals, treatment centres, and medical appointments in a safe, caring and fun environment 💚

BUMBLEance is funded entirely from charitable donations and so Eva was onsite with her Aunt Breda Ward to collect the proceeds on behalf of BUMBLEance from Christmas Jumper Day 2025 organised by Catherine Shaw 👏

We would like to thank Eva and Breda for coming to visit and wish to encourage you all to support BUMBLEance in any fundraising efforts as the work that they do is invaluable to many families in our community and beyond 💪

Irish Pressings was delighted to host the VEX Robotics Team from Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair onsite this morning as we wish them well ahead of their journey to St Louis, USA to represent Ireland at the 2026 VEX Robotics World Championships 🇮🇪✈️

We were genuinely blown away by the talent, drive and brilliance of this young group of engineers and feel privileged to be able to support them in their endeavours👏👏

These brilliant young minds were onsite to learn primarily about safety in the workplace but kept us on our toes with questions on DeLoreans, Batmobiles and Armoured Vehicles😁

🎓 Graduation Day for Little Engineers 🎓

Last Saturday our first group of 12 graduates received their certificates for completing the first ever Little Engineers Academy at Irish Pressings🛠️

Over 4 weeks the kids learned a range of important engineering principles via a Bike Maintenance course under the expert guidance of Cess Holden of Little Spanners 🚲

This was a pilot project but has been an undoubted success and is something that we will be building on into the future 💪

Huge thanks to the kids who really embraced the challenge and to Cess for her wonderful talent 👌

Due to continuing growth, we are seeking applications for role of 2 x General Operatives in FT positions with immediate start.

These roles require a strong work-ethic, ability to learn and follow instruction, ability to operate and interact safely with machinery/equipment, an ability to record accurate data and flexibility to meet the demands of the business.

All training on the process operations, quality requirements and relevant related activities and safety requirements will be provided.

Previous operating experience is preferred but not essential.

This is from Week 3 of our Little Engineers Academy where the participants worked in teams of 3-4 to fix/change/replace bike chains on both multi-gear and single-gear bikes by figuring out the route through the cage and the jockey wheels and then sharing out the tasks between them 🛠

Such concentration, such enthusiasm, such skills to be developing 🧠

Our final session will take place on Saturday 28th February for what has been a hugely successful Pilot Programme✅
