Most of our guests on have either praised Porsche or have it as their dream car, but for , Porsche is missing that X factor—hence why he prefers Italian thoroughbreds. That being said, he admits that Porsches are more driver-oriented and easier to live with.

Another engineering masterclass from Ferrari, but as with any Ferrari, the 296 Speciale's centerpiece is the V6 engine—arguably the best sounding V6 of the modern era.

In standard form, the F163BC puts out a healthy 663 PS, but Ferrari pumps up its power output to 700 PS in the Speciale. To help achieve this, it uses new, stronger pistons, new oil jets to improve cooling, borrowed titanium connecting rods from the F80 hypercar, and a lighter crankshaft to improve engine response. Ferrari also made it lighter by trimming excess metal on the block and crankcase and used titanium bolts & screws—a solution typically reserved for motorsport.

As the world moves toward electrification and monotonous cars, Ferrari shows that it can still build something desirable. Something that is worthy of the 'Speciale' name.
