The original Widow Maker – 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo G50

There is no substitute for an original.

This 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo is not a concours restoration. It is something far rarer: an honest, unmodified, and unrestored example of the car that defined the 1980s supercar era. Finished in rare Velvet Red Metallic (L81L) with a matching two-tone leather interior, it wears its 78,958 miles with pride.

The 1989 model year brings the coveted G50 5-speed manual transmission – a significant upgrade over earlier 4-speed units, offering superior shift precision and durability. The legendary 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six remains entirely unmodified.

This Turbo tells its story through patina: stone chips on the paint, gentle creasing on the driver's seat, an aftermarket Momo steering wheel (original included). Even the door lock is currently disabled – a minor detail awaiting attention.

Documented UK service history from 1989 to 2004 is present in the factory booklet. Under current Hong Kong ownership, the car has been serviced every other year, with suspension, fuel system, and A/C attended to.

The Berlinetta Boxer is the elegant bridge between the front-engine Daytona and the iconic Testarossa of the 1980s. And this 1982 512 BBi—the rarest and most liveable iteration of the breed—is available exclusively at Classic Insider.

Presented in the stunning Blu Medio Metallica (FER 506/C) over a preserved beige leather interior, this European-spec example is truly spectacular. With only 7,116 indicated miles from new and just two previous owners, it has been consistently but sparingly used and meticulously maintained.

Since 2018, this 512 BBi has been fully dealer-serviced at Blackbird Concessionaires, with major mechanical work already completed—including cambelts, clutch, brakes, fuel pumps, hoses, radiator, and fuse box. It retains its original Cromodora alloy wheels, Pioneer stereo, and complete tool kit.

Before the Testarossa became an icon of the 80s, there was the Berlinetta Boxer. And before the Boxer bowed out, there was the 512 BBi—the final, most refined chapter of Ferrari’s original mid‑engine V12 lineage.

Classic Insider presents a 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi in Rosso Corsa over Beige leather. European specification. RHD. Hong Kong registered since 1989. And showing just 8,672 miles.

This car has been comprehensively restored. In 2023, Ferrari specialists performed a full engine‑out mechanical restoration (~HKD 288k). In 2024, the official Ferrari Hong Kong dealer followed with a major service (~HKD 124k). In 2026, the interior was refreshed and nano paint coating applied.
