PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for managing own time to accommodate both design and social media roles: 50/50
Design, production, coordination and scheduling of projects for the in-house creative services department. Maintain corporate graphic standards, work within project budgets, follow project archives procedures and give project status reports. Work involves project design, scheduling, light copywriting, art production, and coordination with outside vendors. Work with creative coworkers to maintain consistent strategies. Committed to promoting teamwork and taking the initiative to assist the company in accomplishing their corporate mission.
Grow the company’s Social Media strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging sales involvement. This role coordinates with the internal Marketing and Sales teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network.
GRAPHIC DESIGN:
Design, produce and coordinate marketing communication materials such as 4-color ads, digital newsletters, tradeshow booth signage, point of purchase displays, sales flyers, ad slicks, promotional logos and flyers, product launch packages and special projects. Work with , marketing manager and coworkers to establish effective design strategies. Maintain these strategies and the corporate graphic standards in the implementation of design solutions.
Determine and maintain/grow relationships with best vendors for projects based on cost estimates, quality and time lines.
Coordinate and/or produce light copywriting for marketing and communications materials. This includes the proofing of all project copy in consultation with the marketing manager
Assist with product photography and/or produce simple instructional digital videos as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
SOCIAL MEDIA:
Coordinating with stakeholders across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services
Oversee social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, coordination of writing editorial, dealer support and promotions, etc.
Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Graphic Design:
Knowledge of graphics software (Creative Suite), specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat. Internet/Web knowledge, HTML/Light coding is not absolutely necessary but will be an added advantage. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
Strong oral and written communication skills required. Copywriting experience desired.
Ability to work and solve problems independently with little supervision as they relate to advertising, employee relations, and outside vendors/services.
Ability to establish priorities, organize and coordinate several responsibilities simultaneously, working with coworkers to maintain creative strategies, and meeting all deadlines required.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Ability to work quickly under pressure, using good judgment in decision-making.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Strong organizational skills
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
Ability to create timely and compelling content
Team player
Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools/software quickly
