Core plug failed.

Open heart surgery on a Transit Custom...

A couple of shots from a 2.0 EcoBlue wet belt job. It’s hard to stop and snap photos of every single bit when you're flat out cracking on, but these give you a look at what goes into it!

First photo shows the old cover before removal, and the next shows it stripped right back with the specialist locking kit pinned in place and the fresh genuine kit.

You can also see the prep work here—the mating faces have to be completely spotless and cleaned up perfectly before the new belt goes on and the cover is resealed. No shortcuts. 🧼✨

No brakes!

Another dangerous one today. Customer contacted us with a complaint of no brakes/soft pedal… turned out to be a burst brake pipe leaking under pressure.

This could’ve ended very badly on the road.
All sorted now with new lines, fresh fluid, and a solid pedal again.

Engine cranks but no start? ❌

Here is a look behind the scenes at why this vehicle is stranded.
Our diagnostic borescope shows a classic case of catastrophic wet belt failure.

The engine is cranking, but the timing belt is completely stationary. The teeth have entirely stripped off the bottom, meaning the crankshaft sprocket is just spinning.

If you drive a vehicle with an oil-bath timing belt system (like a Ford EcoBoost, Transit or PSA PureTech), staying on top of your replacement intervals is vital.
