I'm so good at my job that I managed another test pass while not even in the country! 🤣

Here's my pupil Ryan Redhead who passed his test on his first go on Tuesday at St Helens Test Centre. Ryan did the test in his own car as the only test date he could get that was suitable was while I was away. When we first started lessons, Ryan was very nervous about controlling the car but now, he has even been driving the car while he and his fiancé have been away visiting family down south.

Well done Ryan, you've worked really hard and it's paid off. You should be really proud. Enjoy your freedom. ###

This is a couple of days late but I need to say a mahoosive well done to KeeleyLeanne Cooper who passed her driving test on Friday at St Helens Test Centre.

Keeley has been a great driver from the start but anxiety sometimes took over. She has worked really hard to overcome this. Having her own car, (affectionately named Millie the Micra) has given her a huge confidence boost and together, they absolutely smashed it! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Well done Keeley! I'm so proud of you! Enjoy your freedom and Shaun, enjoy being a passenger princess for a change. 🤣

This is a really good example of why flashing someone in or out of a junction is NOT safe. Flashing your headlights should only be used when notifying someone of your presence.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of teaching a new driver at the U17mc-northwest autosolo at Blackburn services. 15 year old Isla came to the event with her grandad in their absolutely gorgeous Mark 1 Es**rt. She did an amazing job of mastering a very tricky clutch and driving around a tight course with no power steering.

An autosolo is a great way to learn car control from a young age as you can drive from the age of 14 years old. If you would like any more information, please get in touch with either myself or your local car club.

We will be back at Blackburn M65 Services Sunday 15 September 2024 with a new organising team at the helm.

The cost for this event will be just £35 and will be limited to 30 entries.

Another pass this morning at Atherton Test Centre. Well done to Amy Clarke who passed on her first attempt with only a few minors. Amy has worked extremely hard over the last few months and has been going out driving with friends and family in between lessons. All that hard work has now paid off. Fantastic work Amy! Well, today is my last day with Surepass Driving Instructors as a franchisee. I can't thank everyone at Surepass enough for the help and support they have given me over the last couple of years. In particular, a massive thanks to Vicki Hulse for making me the instructor I am today and Michelle Partington for answering all my annoying questions. I really hope I can stay as one of the Surepass family at heart, unless you're all glad to see the back of me of course. 🤣

Keep an eye out for my car (Dixie) around Wigan and St Helens with my shiny new roof box on and give us a wave. 👋🏻
