🌊 Beautiful Beaches Near Whitley Bay 🌊
If you’re staying at Walkers retreat Whitley Bay, you’re perfectly placed to explore some of the most stunning beaches in the North East. Here are a few favourites and how far they are from the park 👇
Whitley Bay Beach
📍 Walking distance, a short walk from the park you will find yourself on the golden sands of Whitley Bay beach dog friendly and great for crabbing with the kids
Blyth Beach
📍Approx 10 minute drive, great for kids lots to do park, icecream parlour, fish and chip shop
Tynemouth longsands beach
📍 Approx 10 minutes drive, long stretch of golden sand, great for kids, surfing academy and Crusoes cafe right on the beach, nearby crazy golf and aquarium
King Edwards Bay Tynemouth
📍 Approx 17 minutes drive, very pretty bay lovely to walk along why not try the famous Riley’s fish shack situated on the beach
Holy Island Beach
📍 Approx 1.5 hours, a little further up the coast you will find a tidal island with beautiful beaches and views of Lindisfarne Castle. Local pubs and lots to see. Just remember to check the causeway tide times before visiting
Bamborough Beach
📍 Approx 1 hour One of the most iconic beaches in the UK – miles of sand with the incredible Bamburgh Castle overlooking the coastline.
Embleton Bay
📍 Approx 1 hour Beautiful quiet beach surrounded by dunes and great views
