🥊 DEBUT WIN FOR JOSH! 🏆

A massive congratulations to josh, who stepped through the ropes for his very first competitive bout and came away with the win! 👏

Josh faced a very talented opponent from our neighbouring club, Ray DeBourgh ABC, in what was an incredibly close 50/50 contest that could genuinely have gone either way!

Both lads gave a fantastic account of themselves and should be proud of their performances. A great example of competitive amateur boxing and mutual respect between local clubs. 🤝🥊

A big well done to Josh on getting his first bout under his belt. Plenty more to come! 💪

👏 Thank you to Charlie and Phil for their coaching and corner work, and a big thank you to Corby ABC for putting on the show and giving the lads the opportunity to compete.

Pleasure shooting the Home Counties development finals on Sunday fist outing of the new season

17/09/2026

This isn’t my normal type of post and I don’t normally share my views publicly, but the story of little Noah Woods has really stayed with me. 💙

My mum and stepdad foster a little boy who is also 3. He has his own challenges and, although undiagnosed, it’s clear he sometimes sees the world differently to most of us. Until these last few days, I never really understood elopement or the fear families can live with every day.

Like everyone, I hoped Noah was simply treating it as one big game of hide and seek, waiting for his grandad to find him, or had become fascinated by something like the roundabout we saw him spinning in the park. The ending is just heartbreaking.

My thoughts are with Noah’s family. I can’t imagine what they’re going through. 💙

And if we can learn anything from Noah, let it be this: don’t judge. The older child wearing reins or the child who suddenly runs off might not be naughty they might simply see the world differently to you.

We never knew you, Noah, but you touched the hearts of so many.

Paint Instagram blue for Noah. 💙🕊️

🥊⚡ JOHN PAUL “MAD DOG” MITCHELL ⚡🥊

Some boxers wait for opportunities.

Others go looking for them.

John Paul “Mad Dog” Mitchell brings the kind of energy, determination, and fighting spirit that coaches love to see. Every time he steps through the ropes, he’s there to test himself, learn, and leave everything in the ring.

Representing Leicester Lightning ABC with pride, JP continues to build experience bout by bout, showing the attitude and work ethic needed to keep moving forward in the sport.

This graphic brings together some of the moments that make up that journey so far — the wins, the battles, and the performances that have earned him the nickname “Mad Dog.”

The work doesn’t stop here.

🥊⚡ ⚡🥊

Every boxer develops at their own pace.

The important thing is showing up, listening, learning, and putting the work in when nobody is watching.

Aiden continues to do exactly that at Leicester Lightning ABC, gaining valuable experience every time he steps through the ropes. Every round boxed, every session completed, and every challenge faced is helping shape the boxer he’s becoming.

This graphic was created to capture that journey — bringing together moments from his bouts and the hard work behind the scenes.

The results come from consistency.

Keep working. Keep learning. Keep moving forward. 👊
