Well it's almost time for us at Beach Couriers to hand over deliveries to the big fella who does Christmas best of all ...
We shall be operating a full service on Saturday the 23rd and a skeleton service Christmas Eve returning on Wednesday 27th .
Myself Jason and Encho would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a safe and peaceful New Year - Thank you all for your support throughout all of 2023
.. and to those who have asked if they are on Santa's good list the answer is a resounding Yes !!!

Good Evening all ..
Sadly in recent months there has been an ever increasing reports of couriers being physically attacked and in more case verbally abused - recently several reports in Cambridgeshire & Essex have resulted in the police action where the courier needed hospital attention . In the last few days we have had reports where the couriers in Waterbeach have received verbal attacks when out delivering . In both cases these incidents have been passed onto the police and the address is blocked from receiving deliveries - their details have been passed through to the client and reasons given .
Whilst we understand that shopping online can come with some frustrations , late deliveries - missing parcels - left at the wrong location etc couriers cannot be held responsible for the client sending out the wrong item nor do we have any link commercially to them and do not deserve to have abuse aimed at them .
It is sad to have to write this post as the vast majority of customers raise a smile on our days .

Hi Everyone ..
As we are now coming into Autumn and the darker nights closing in , even though many of us are still wearing shorts and t-shirts 🙃 many of us will be aware that Christmas is as short as 12 weeks away !!
Last year saw a record number of complaints / delays across all the courier and postal networks - This in part was caused through higher that expected volumes , the lack of drivers and network transport
Volumes this 'peak' are forecast to be in the region of 28-32 % higher than last year culminating in around 3 Million parcels entering the Evri network daily through the first three weeks of December
My hope is that the mistakes made last year will not repeat themselves , however please remember that your first call , should there be an issue is to the retailer or seller and not to Evri , you will NOT get through . Myself Jason or Encho will be available through this page to try and assist but please bear with us as we will be unable to reply straight away due to our extended delivery hours

I will update via this page in the coming weeks to advise of any potential issues that may arise

Hi all ...
As some of you may seen over the past few days we have had a replacement courier called Ali - unfortunately I have had several issues with the van resulting in me using a bike ! Economically the van is beyond repair and a replacement has been sourced - Hopefully ( and for the sake of my posterior ! ) we should be back to normal service from Wednesday / Thursday
Thank you for your understanding and I hope this has not caused too much of an issue

- Just a quick update on Hello Fresh deliveries & Evri
As of Monday 26th June Hello Fresh will be contracting out part of their orders to Evri alongside other companies . As part of the order you will be asked to give a safe place option should you not be at home to receive your order . Whilst we have the warmer weather at present could we ask that your safe place be accessible where at all possible , no locked gates / garages etc or if you have asked to have your order diverted to a neighbour that they will be in o receive it . Hello Fresh have left an option for a ' doorstep ' drop but as previously mentioned whilst the warmer weather is here and although they do come with ice packs there is a chance that this could affect the contents. Should you have any issue or query concerning your delivery then please do not hesitate to contact either myself - Jason or Encho

Hi all
Just a quick heads up that as from Monday 13th February I ( Jeff ) will be away from the business for two weeks to attend Jury Service and that Jason will also be away from the 20th February for a fortnight for the same reason ! What this will possibly mean is that those customers who have Encho as their main courier there will be little or no impact however for those who have either Jason or myself a replacement contractor will cover over the period .
There may be some disruption to your usual service as most contractors will not know your designated safe places . I will try and pick up any queries as much as I possibly can but please bear with me as until I have any direction from the courts as to length of any trial
My advice would be that in any situation where you have a misplaced delivery would be to contact your retailer as they will have a direct contact with Evri .

Christmas delivery update ...

I'm sure many of you have either read or heard via the national media with regard to delivery backlogs in the UK
Whilst this is true in many cases the figures are being slightly exaggerated . The backlog is mainly due to retailers moving their orders away from Royal Mail during their dispute and with such short notice the main delivery hubs are struggling to cope with the extra workload , add to this the recent weather and seasonal illnesses then you are creating a small but perfect storm .
We in South Camb's are working through the backlog as quickly as we can and although we cannot guarantee to have your order before Christmas were giving it a bloody good go so please bear with us at this time .

With the up and coming Queens Jubilee celebrations our network will be closing on Thursday 2nd & Friday 3rd of June - the network will be operating on a limited capacity on Saturday 4th and also Sunday 5th .
Our main hubs in Newmarket will still be accepting deliveries from retailers during this time and this will possibly lead to a backlog and delay with some orders getting out on time please accept our apologies in advance should you experience any delay
A full service will be operating from Monday 6th and we will try to keep any distributions to a minimum

Customers using or receiving deliveries via Hermes will , as from the 14th March , notice that the company name has now changed to " EVRI " 🙄
Currently there are no major changes planned and that apart from branding everything will be as previous
If you are unsure of any email or believe that you are being scammed by any unsolicited means please as always message myself or speak to Jason, Encho when we are out delivering
