Super busy lately. Started with a service and a pair of rear shock absorbers on a lovely Audi A5 ready for a trip into Europe this summer. This should make the ride down the AutoBahn a lot safer now.

Next up we did a Annual Service and Health Check on a Vauxhall for one of my regular customers

And then onto a very tidy Skoda Octavia for a rear control arm after complaints of a knocking noise from the rear. Upon removal we also found that the spring had fractured so this was replaced at the same time ensuring the safety of the vehicle was not compromised

Wheel bearing completed on this lovely D Max for a local customer. They called complaining of a knocking noise after a "mechanic" replaced the front brakes. A quick investigation found the front wheel bearing had been incorrectly adjusted and left in an unsafe manner. Replacement sourced and fitted all on the customers drive while they spent time with their young family.

Another failed Skoda window regulator replaced. Done a few of these this year already on various models. Condensation within the door causes the cables to rust and seize until they start creaking leading to eventual failure.

Transit custom for front brake replacement. Had a call and attended a brake warning light on dash and quickly got the health check carried out. This identified the front brakes had caused the warning light. Customer advised and authorisation given. As we began stripping the calipers we noticed some damage to the passenger driveshaft. Closer inspection found this had been bodged previously by an independent garage and we were unable to remove the hub/discs easily. After a quick consultation with the customer we decided that for safety reasons the hub and driveshaft would be replaced. All parts sourced and fitted within 24 hours keeping he vehicle safe for many years to come.

Another one of my regular customers booked in for their yearly service. Carried out a quick Engine Oil & filter change and health check. On the check I found that the front drop links had seen better days so these were advised and replaced a few days later at the customers request.

Overall they were happy with the quick turn around and had piece of mind that the car was in a good roadworthy condition ahead of the winter.

I am back! Ive taken a few weeks off whilst I welcomed the birth of my little boy but we are now back answering calls.

Here's one from the first day back. Skoka Citigo with a fish tank as a headlight. The seal had failed within the lamp unit allowing water to collect with and causing condensation and poor visibility. Sourced a genuine replacement quickly and got it replaced within a timely manner so the customer was back on the road ready to visit the local football club the same afternoon.
