Verity came to me at the beginning of September 2026. She doesn’t mind me saying, she is in her early 80’s but is very youthful for her years. In early 2026 she suffered a stroke, which meant she had to undertake a driving assessment. When she took her first assessment, she didn’t reach the required standard, mainly speeding, road position amongst a few other things. She contacted me and we discussed her assessment. She said she isn’t used to driving a different car, which is used during the assessment, nor was she familiar with the roads she was taken on. Verity had three lessons with me, where we worked on the things highlighted in her assessment, driving a different car and travelling on less familiar roads. Verity took her assessment drive again on October 6th and passed with flying colours and received some really positive feedback from the assessor. Verity has given me permission to post about her stroke and age so it can be an inspiration to others who may be in a similar position. I was very pleased to be able to help Verity and give her the independence driving gives her.

Leigh may not have been the winner on ITV’s The Chase or The Floor quiz shows but he has certainly been the winner today with a first time pass and just 5 driving faults. I am so proud of you Leigh. Working really hard to achieve this result despite your Autism. Leigh has said that he hopes this is an inspiration to others with Autism and that nothing is out of reach if you really want it.Enjoy your freedom.

A big congratulations to Honey👏 passing her driving test on a sunny September morning. Honey handled her nerves really well and passed with 5 driving faults. On the way back from test, Honey told me she hadn’t told anyone about her test today. I am sure they will be as pleased as we both are. 🚗🚗

A superb drive from Nathan. Passing his driving test at the first attempt with just two driving faults. “A lovely smooth controlled drive” were the comments from the examiner. I am really proud of you Nathan. A great attitude throughout our lessons and you took feedback on board positively, working hard to perfect your driving. Well done and good luck with your future career.
