I blooming love the cnc paddock another great weekend with some bonkers machines. Due to 49 cars registered we had a split grid. Great for the championship but missed being with some of the big boys and girls.

Quali: new pads and a rebuilt box took it steady and got everything warmed up then off for a couple of quick laps. 1:59 lap and into the top 10 well P10 but still counts.

Race 1: Crap start as usual lost a couple of spots so off to catch up. Got past a couple early on then to chase down the golf of Simon, with some good laps got passed just after knickerbrook. Only to find out got a 10 second penalty for a jump start šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļøso back to behind him. 1:59 and P8

Race 2: Finally a decent start and past a couple. Kept with the group ahead until I locked up into knickerbrook and got one hell of a flat spot which caused vibrations around every right hand bend Handy that when druids is probably the quickest on the circuit. Kept Matt behind so did ok. 1:59 P9.

Some properly quick machinery out there this weekend so no chance of silverware but time to work on a few bits on the car. Anglesey next which is normally a fairly good track for me so let’s see.

you were beautiful as always.

Quali : it was hot hot hot so it was lovely to have 2 red flags!! 🄵 didn’t really get a clear lap and struggling in the heat as a few were. Got onto the back of the master round Anglesey Rob Phillips and got myself a decentish lap

Race 1: Again a warm one, awful start but worked out ok as wasn’t in the mix at rocket where is got a little crowded, couple of bumps and the red flag came out. Great another start to mess up which I duly did! Slicks came in mid race and got past who I needed to. 2nd in class šŸ† 1:19 lap.

Race 2: Sunday and with rain overnight the track was greasy! Decided on inters which turned out to not be the quickest. Another bloody red flag so we all go back and start again. The boys on slicks disappeared and left me in no man’s land until Julian in the incredibly well set up beemer decided to pester me at the end. Kept him at bay but only just. 5th in class 1:21 lap.

Race 3: slicks on and try again well not quite another red on the first lap and try again off the line…rubbish again. Slicks came in and tried to catch Tom Frankland in his rapid Renault 5. Couldn’t close the gap but decent finish to a weekend. 4th in class and 1:19 again.

Dropped points this weekend so that’s my class title gone but loved being with the cnc family. Great to have some new names on the grid and also an incredible debut by the young Dobson. Looks like the apple doesn’t fall to far from the tree!! Only one weekend to go on the 12th October. All welcome to enjoy the last race of the year.

What a weekend, incredible time with the best people. you have been beautiful.

Quali: slicks on and went for it, so much more confidence in the car, attached myself to Ian Bamber and Steven Parker who dragged me along for my best time round. 1:20 lap p22/37

Race 1: Not a great start as got stuck behind a stalled car on the grid. Took a few laps to get back up to the position I should be in but by that time everyone has buggered off. Quiet race in the end but more points and home safely. P20 3rd in class

Race 2: Probably best race I have ever had. Good start and held my position on the first corner. Tried to stick with Tim Foxlow in the rsr but after his tyres switched on he took off. Then it was the battle of the weekend. Myself, Tom Frankland Bod buckby and Rich Hall battled lap after lap after lap. I have counted over 25 position changes between us, and not a scrap of paint damaged. Proper racing amongst mates. Bod unfortunately touched the grass and span but no damage. Finished just behind tom by 0.5 secs over a 20 minute race 😮 P14 2nd in class

I cannot speak highly enough of our grid, mates on and off the track but still extremely competitive. Next up

So another weekend gone and always brilliant to be back in the cnc paddock with everyone helping each other and making sure we all get on the grid.

Qualifying: After rebuilding the box needed to take her steady for a few laps before I pushed on. Didn’t really ever get a clean lap but still managed P24 / 38 time 2:02 on inters so plenty of time to be made up.

Race 1: Dry but big clouds coming so kept the inters on, awful start and dropped back a few places. Got into my rhythm and managed to pull them back and set about getting up to Tom Frankland in the rapid R5. He was in his own battle so thought that would slow them down but didn’t at all. Had a hard battle with Paul Goodlad in the vw kept me honest all blooming race only to see Tom go wide at druids and I had my chance to sneak past with a couple of laps to go. Great race, car was perfect. P15 Time: 2:00 2nd in class

Race 2: The weather wasn’t looking great but looking on every app known to man thought it would miss us just…how wrong I was green flag lap just about ok but as we go to druids the heavens opened and I mean biblical. Race started but it was horrific no visibility as my screen had steamed up , red flag as I got to knickerbrook thank god. Had to follow the white line out of my window to get home safely. I have never been so slow round a track in my life terrified what was in front of me.

Another weekend where everyone got home safely which is the main thing. Now to prep for the big one for the truck on 12/13 August.

Couple of weeks until we are back at the beautiful Oulton park circuit. If you have never been to a track before why not pop down for the day. Great racing and access as you are more than welcome to come and sit in some of these cars. Bring a picnic and kids under 13 get in free. 8th July get it in your diary. šŸ‘šŸ¼

Anglesey is probably the most beautiful track out there but my god she is a cruel mistress.

Didnt even make qualifying as when being scrutineered the fire extinguisher was set off accidentally, luckily a mate was coming so managed to pick one up from , absolute life saver. Ben and Twigg from got it I’m ready for race one, incredible work.

Race 1 : starting from the back of the grid so had some work to do to get past everyone but thoroughly enjoyed getting through the grid. Got up to 14th and 1st in class.

Race 2 : back of the grid again and wanted to try to get onto Rob in his civic. Getting through the grid again and going well, unfortunately locked up going into rocket, car making a horrible knocking noise so into the pits. Didn’t sound good so retired the car.

Race 3 : non starter as found to be the diff so refurb needed. Bit strange but a nice change to watch cnc heads. The racing is incredible with battles all down the grid.

Not the weekend we wanted but had a great time with some wonderful wonderful people. This championship is like no other with the selection of cars on view and also the friendships we have up and down the grid. Now to get the car ready for oulton. Might be a squeeze but will try our best.
