Some of the jobs so far this week 🔧

Coolant leak on a Mercedes c class, turned out to be a corroded core plug. Customer was glad to have this ongoing issue fixed after being in various other garages.

Daf lf in for excessive oil leak, breather seal was damaged causing oil to leak out the breather tube.

Fiat 500 automatic. This broke down outside the workshop so we got to work straight away replacing the worn out clutch. We reset adaptations and did a clutch teach, the customer was back on the road same day.

Bmw x5 n57 engine refresh. We replaced main bearings, big end bearings along with all relevant hardware and fitted a genuine timing chain kit.

Focus st in for water ingress. We found multiple leaks which required the replacement of rear door seals, spoiler reseal and bumper vent reseal.

A strange but common issue in today on a bmw x1 fitted with a B47 engine.

Multiple fault codes present and drivetrain warning displayed.

Replacing the low pressure fuel pipes alone will not fix this fault due to diesel ingress into the engine harness.

We pulled off plugs on multiple components and yes you guessed it, Diesel on every connector!

We replaced the low pressure sensor and pipes, cleaned the loom and returned the car back to the customer in hopes the loom would dry out over the next few weeks. It's not a first time fix like we are used to but the cost of a new engine harness is eye watering, as you can imagine the customers willing to give this a shot first.

Another busy few weeks, here's what we have been up to!

✔️Vw t4 in for timing belt, waterpump and sliding door fault.
✔️Ford fiesta in for a knocking noise. We identified the issue and replaced the trailing arm bushes.
✔️Mercedes sprinter in for replacement clutch and flywheel.
✔️yamaha raptor in for overheating. we found the fan disconnected and no wiring fitted due to an engine conversion.

Vauxhall corsa in for hard to select gears.

We replaced the worn out clutch but struggled to get a good pedal after bleeding. After a fair bit of head scratching we noticed it was missing a clutch pedal return spring, with a new one fitted it was returned back to the customer in good health.
