This beach is known as one of the best in Europe, and even the world, but you might not have heard of it before.

Last night was a spur of the moment type thing. I saw it was clear and I knew the Milky Way would be in the right place for a photo that I've wanted for years with the sand leading your eye to the Milky Way. At 10pm, I walked to Mewslade Bay and found my spot. I did have to wait for fishermen to leave the beach as their headtorches were very bright! Once I had the place to myself, I set about taking this photo and trying not to freeze - it was a pretty cold night! The green is 'airglow'. This photo is comprised of 26 photos which equates to 400 seconds of data! Whilst sat here, freezing and gaining pins and needles in my leg, I did briefly consider creating an 'Astrophotography Master Class' course which would cover a lot more depth for the more advanced photographer. I got to bed at 2am this morning and was up for the day just gone 7am.
