The penultimate round of the Forest Edge Superkart championship took place on Sunday with changeable conditions providing the closed finish possible in the final, by the 2 leading championship contenders. As the lights went out in the final it was Spencer Chappell who hit the front with Aaron Powell taking 2nd, Ross Cornick 3rd with Graham Payne and Harry Morris making up the top 5. Lap 2 and it was all change with Mark Smith charging through the field into 4th while behind the drivers slid their way around an ever increasing wet and tricky track with Calum Smith, Dan Buckland and Joel Hersey making steady progress. With the leading pair bumper to bumper for 11 breath taking laps Aaron Powell out dragged Spencer Chappell from the last corner to cross the finishing line with only 0.05s between them, in one of the closest possible finishes. 3rd went to Ross Cornick, 4th was Mark Smith, 5th Graham Payne, 6th Dan Buckland and 7th was Joel Hersey in his fist race back after an extended absence from the sport. Wow what a fantastic race and what a great display of fast, close, and clean professional racing from the Superkart drivers. The top 7 places were.
