😬 **2 new rear tyres on a Ford Focus at Sighthill Industrial Estate — 2 screws, run flat, and both sidewalls blown out!**

This one was a serious job — got called out to **Sighthill Industrial Estate** today for a Ford Focus with not one but TWO screws in the rear tyres. 🔩🔩

But it gets worse — both had been run flat and the sidewalls on each tyre had completely blown out. By the time we got there these tyres were well beyond any kind of repair and needed replacing immediately. 🚨

This is exactly why you should never keep driving on a tyre with a screw in it — what starts as a simple affordable plug repair can quickly turn into two destroyed tyres that have to be replaced. The damage done to the sidewalls by running on them flat means there's absolutely no saving them at that point. ⚠️

Both new tyres on and the Focus is back on the road safely. ✅

If you spot a screw or nail in your tyre — stop as soon as it's safe to do so and give us a call. Don't run on it. We'll come straight to you! 🧡

Most people think about their tyres only when something goes wrong — but here are a few things that might actually surprise you! 👀

🛞 **Your tyres are the ONLY part of your car touching the road**
That's it. Four small contact patches — roughly the size of a human hand each — are all that stands between you, your car, and the tarmac. Everything — steering, braking, accelerating — depends entirely on those four patches of rubber. Kind of puts tyre health into perspective doesn't it! 🤯

🌡️ **Temperature literally changes your tyre pressure overnight**
For every 10°C drop in temperature, your tyres lose around 1-2 PSI of pressure automatically. So a tyre that was perfectly inflated in summer could be noticeably low come winter — without a single puncture or leak!

🕐 **Tyres age even when you don't drive**
A car sitting on the driveway for months still has ageing tyres. UV light, heat, and oxidation cause rubber to crack and perish regardless of mileage. Age matters just as much as wear!
