KGM TORRES REVEIW

‘Rather than building something that appeals to the masses, KGM has gone headlong into the highly competitive family-sized SUV market. In terms of how it looks, KGM has got off to a good start. This week, on The Driven Podcast, John Marcar meets Tim Woolmer and Jörg Miska from YASA LTD in Oxford, England.

In 2005, Tim Woolmer was studying at Oxford University, with a particular interest in the future of motoring, specifically the idea of an electric-vehicle future. His specific area of interest was the Axial Flux motor, and despite the industry being almost exclusively focused on petrol and diesel power at the time, his interest later led to the founding of YASA LTD in 2009.

17 years on, and following acquisition by Mercedes-Benz, YASA now produces electric motors for the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mercedes-Benz for both hybridised supercars and entirely electric platforms.

In this week’s episode, Tim (company founder and CTO) and Jörg (CEO) talk to John Marcar about their career histories, what YASA is doing today, and their thoughts on the future of the automotive sector.

Another week, another limited edition Caterham Seven.

Recent limited edition Sevens have celebrated Miami and Sir Stirling Moss, while 2025 even saw a one-off tribute Seven in honour of the Royal Air Force.

This time, the British brand is paying homage to the Nürburgring, as the iconic circuit celebrates its 100th anniversary. The 12.9-mile track, know as ‘Green Hell’, has been the ultimate test of a driver and car’s ability, with its 73 corners and various undulations providing some of the most challenging conditions in all of motorsport.
