Rates negotiable based on experience.
This will be mostly mobile but some workshop when required.

Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Engineering Supervisor to lead and support our team at our Sittingbourne workshops.

In this role, you will -
- Create and manage work schedules for workshop tasks and projects.
- Lease with customers on project timescales and progress.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the correct standards and practices.
- Oversee all workshop staff, designate work plans and monitor project deadlines.
- Manage engineering projects within our fabrication departments.
- Ensure the maintenance and repair of all road, rail, and plant equipment is carried out to a high standard.

You will play a vital role in maintaining safe, reliable, and high-quality operations while supervising and guiding the engineering team.

Qualifications

Strong Supervisory Skills with the ability to lead and support a team effectively
Experience in Engineering Supervision / managment, including planning, coordinating, and overseeing technical operations
Proficiency in Project Management to ensure timely and efficient completion of upgrades and overhauls
Expertise in Maintenance & Repair of road, rail, and plant equipment
Knowledge of Construction practices relevant to the road, rail, and plant industries
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to ensuring safety and quality in all engineering tasks
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in engineering or a related field
Previous experience of rail plant maintenance / upgrade procedures.

Salary / Package

Good salary options dependent on experience
40hr week basic
Internal progression likely
Shared shop floor and office responsibilities
ideal for someone looking to move into a managment role in the future

Our young fabricator Tom has done a brilliant job of these ram and cab guards from a rough sketch I scribbled he brought them to life with his own touches to finish them off.
Our newest engineer James has done a fantastic job installing these GKD height slew and RCI plus quick hitch and thumbs up from safety sheild with only minimal guidance from myself.
To find a team that cares about quality work is half the battle and it feels like we are winning on that front 👊
