The RM-Primis with RM-Tuner can now do engine analysis to report sugestions of trigger angle offsets with a precision of around 5 degrees, this is a "use at your own risk" tool that can be great to help on the first start of an engine we don't know and/or for someone on his own that needs an eye balled value to start with and then check with a timing light.

Thisnis just the version 1 of this tool a lot of improvements will be made, like reducing the number os sugested values, but that will also vary with your engine setup and where the trigger wheel is installed.

Another short video of Keith's classic mini with Honda B20 engine on fly by wire itbs runing the new RM Primis, fully developed in House, the engine sounds smooth, the Primis accuracy on ignition and injection control is on the same level as any other big brands being even more accurate than certain brands on certain rpm ranges, we bought and scoped several different ecu's runing side by side with the Primis fed by the same inputs!

Today we want to show RM-Tuner and Primis Temporary knock and knock threshold/regulation in action .
Sorry for the audio quality and it's a bit out of sync as well, but I think it's good enough.

On the video we add a lot of ignition timing to try to force the engine into a knock condition making the knock detection in each cylinder to be higher than the threshold determined on the threshold table and we observe the knock regulation (protection) taking effect and the recovery.

On the Primis we can program the knock detection window angle (ATDC) and its duration in degrees, we can also set individual gains per cylinder.

Development team has been working hard on the fly by wire/drive by wire implementation.
We use the standalone FBW controller we already manufacture as a starting point but we swaped to a much more power full MCU and then we had to make the ECU and the FBW firmwares to talk to each other and also swap all the communication to RM-Tuner instead of tunerstudio.

We are happy that all is working now and the Primis™ is officialy a FBW capable ECU.

The Primis will be offered with or without FBW.
