🚗 Did you know?
A quick driving history fact…
Learning to drive hasn’t always involved instructors, theory tests, or even proper roads! When the first driving licences were introduced in the UK in 1903, there was no driving test at all. Anyone over 17 could simply apply and start driving.
It wasn’t until 1935 that the UK driving test became compulsory, helping to improve road safety and driving standards for everyone. Since then, learning to drive has evolved hugely — but the goal remains the same: creating safe, confident drivers for life.
Thinking about starting your own driving journey? Every expert driver once sat in the learner’s seat too. 🚦
