The logistics industry is changing faster than most people realise. As a training provider, we are proud to be leading the charge, becoming the very first training provider in the UK to introduce fully electric HGVs into our fleet!

We don’t just want to prepare drivers for today’s roads, but for the future of the industry too.

Welcoming this brand-new, fully electric DAF Trucks UK XD to our training fleet is a massive milestone for us. By integrating electric HGVs into our fleet, we ensure tomorrow's LGV drivers enter the workforce fully equipped to handle modern, sustainable fleets.

The future is already here: Feedback from our first students, including apprentices upgrading their licences in the electric DAF XD, has been incredibly positive! A massive thank you to Adams Morey Ltd for their fantastic support with our electric HGVs!

Ready to grow your driving team? 🚛

Our Urban Driver Level 2 Apprenticeship trains learners to coordinate the safe, efficient flow of vehicles and goods, from scheduling deliveries to managing driver and fleet communication. Learners will also work towards gaining their Category C licence.

This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in driving or logistics as well as existing employees who would like to upskill into a driving role. Throughout the apprenticeship, learners will develop key knowledge, skills and behaviours including:

– Vehicle preparation and safety checks
– Driving safely and professionally
– Route planning and time management
– Load handling and vehicle management
– Risk management and road safety regulations
– Customer service and communication
– Environmental awareness and sustainability

These modules are designed to prepare apprentices for real-world driving in busy urban environments.

The apprenticeship runs for a minimum of 8 months. For SMEs, the course is fully funded for learners under 25, while there is a cost of £400 for any apprentices aged 25 or over. As well as this, SMEs can receive a range of stackable incentives when hiring an apprentice under the age of 25 depending on eligibility.

Looking to upgrade your licence from Category C to Category C+E? 🚛
The process is simpler than you may think!

Here’s what you can expect if you’re looking to upgrade soon...

1. Driver Training

During your training you’ll be paired with one of our expert instructors to help you pass first time. All training is tailored to you, ensuring you receive maximum support. You’ll prepare for both your 3a and 3b tests!

2. 3a Off-Road Test
At one of our on-site reversing areas you’ll prepare for your 3a test which involves an off-road reversing exercise along with uncoupling and recoupling the trailer. You’ll also take this test on-site with one of our DVSA approved examiners!

3. 3b On-Road Test
After your 3a test, it’s time for the 3b on-road test- and that’s it!

With a Category C licence, you’ll skip the theory and medical, getting started with driver training sooner!
