Sunshine, showers and plenty of laps at Donington Park.

Yesterday’s testing gave drivers a chance to prepare for today’s Radical Club Challenge UK finale, with a busy track and changing conditions providing plenty of drama before race day had even begun.

Racing with the 750MotorClub, the Radical sponsored Radical Club Challenge UK represents some of the best UK club racing, bringing together generations of Radical machinery. Its dedicated SR1 class offers the perfect entry point into prototype racing, with an impressive 12 SR1s entered for today’s season decider.

It’s fitting, then, that today’s championship drama centres on SR1, with just three points separating Robert Souster and Martyn Ball as they prepare to battle for the title.

The stage is set for the season finale 🏁

Radical Club Challenge UK heads to Donington Park this weekend, with 30 cars entered and a bumper twelve-car SR1 grid ready to battle it out one last time in 2026.

Qualifying kicks off Saturday morning, followed by two races to bring the season to a close. Let’s make it a good one.

Valour Racing’s Cian Geraghty was our final race winner in 2026 by one of the narrowest margins we’ve ever seen! Were it not for a post race five second penalty applied to Gordie Mutch for track limits, Cian beat Gordie over the line by just 0.038 seconds, underscoring the epic battle we have witnessed between these two star drivers all season long.

It was a similar photo finish in the Fangio Class, with Andy Lowe beating home John Macleod by just 1.269 seconds after 50-minutes of racing. Their battle was also a winner takes all fight for the Fangio championship, which came down to the last lap of the last race of the season.

We are privileged to have witnessed such outstanding battles across the season, making 2026 one to truly remember.

Celebrating our 2026 Finecut Radical Cup UK champions!

Gordie Mutch has taken the outright championship after a dominant season with University of Derby, a remarkable effort from this student team. In Fangio, it came down to the last lap of the lap race of the season, as Andy Lowe and 360 Competition fended off John Macleod to take Fangio honours and third outright in the championship.

Gordie Mutch Racing and University of Derby have stamped their authority on the championship in 2026, and started the final round of the year in the best possible way with a lights-to-lights victory in Race 1.

Cian Geraghty was desperately unlucky in a turn one incident, leaving him unable to challenge Gordie for the win. It was a true shame not to see these two titans go head-to-head, as it would have been a spectacular and hard-fought race.

The final race of the 2026 season takes the green flag at 13:45, and will be streamed live on YouTube via MSV TV.
