With the shop being so busy over the last 4 weeks i did not have time to put last rounds report up, Emma is now away for a well deserved wee break and in that time we will do our spanner checks and modifications required to get wee Patsy back to the top of the podium where she belongs.

Here is the report from her last round in the Northern Ireland Sprint Championship.

Saturday the 5th of August saw our resident racing driver, Emma, compete in the 6th round of the Northern Ireland Sprint Championship at Kirkistown. This was a big weekend as it also included rounds for the British Sprint Championship which ensured a large contingent of drivers from across the pond and a lot of local talent.

Things were not looking good as there were yellow weather warnings for N.Ireland Friday night and into Saturday morning on the back of “Storm Antoni” . As you have guessed the track was exceptionally wet for start of practice and it wasn’t long until cars were disappearing off the track into the grass and gravel but the wet weather finally gave way to sunshine and it turned out to be a great day full of craic.

However, in Motorsport there is an expectation of mechanical failure and associated problems, on this occasion Patsy ran faultlessly, it was the driver who wasn’t up to power! Emma had suffered a sporting injury earlier in the week but ever the sporting person that she is, she turned up to try her best. It was evident that she was in great pain and not able to push herself and Patsy to their potential on the day, however, she at least managed to secure 3rd in the Ladies Class. Not a bad result given the overall circumstances. Like everything in life, “we all have our up’s and down’s” and can’t expect great results at every event.

Watch out for the next event report late September and hopefully Emma has fully recovered.

So after a very long few race free months due to injury for one of our very own, Calvin Blake is back in the hot seat this weekend to compete in a two day race meeting at Nutts Corner Raceway.

Each day there will be two heats and a final..
Calvin was practising tonight and getting a feel for the pedals with the plates and pins in his foot, after a few teething problems he is feeling good and ready to race.

Practise tonight resulted in a fuel pump clean, coil pack change and after this the car felt better.

Stay tuned for more updates from the race track!

Best of Luck Calvin for the weekend. 🏁🏁🏁🏆
