HGV or LCV Vehicle Technician
Role overview
We are looking for a Shift Technician to repair and service our customer’s vehicles to the highest standards possible. You will be working as part of a team to ensure an efficient servicing and repair philosophy along with a right first time ethic.
The position will entail an alternate early and late shift which a shift allowance payment on lates will be paid.
Key responsibilities
• To receive work from the workshop controller and carry out related checks, administration and protection routines
• To service and repair all types of vehicles
• To report on all additional repair requirements as they are identified
• To make written and verbal reports on service and repair activity to the workshop controller in order to obtain authorisation
• To complete all administrative procedures (including warranty) relating to service and repair work
• To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• To undertake vehicle road tests when necessary
• To attend meetings and training programmes as required
• To perform other duties in support of other team members as required
About You
As a Shift Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
• You will need a Level 3 or higher qualification within the repair and maintenance of HGV or LCV vehicles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
• Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
