Zak’s Mk2 Golf came in for air ride to be fitted, along with a few other small jobs.
Once we started getting into it, we found the brake servo was leaking badly, leaving the brakes unsafe and inoperable, so that was first on the list to be swapped out for a replacement.
With the rear carpets removed, we then found the rear turret areas were in poor condition, so these had to be cut out and properly repaired to make them safe. The rear beam mount areas were also badly corroded, meaning the only proper way to sort them was to remove the rear beam, cut out the affected sections and replace them with new panels.
The disc-cutter marks around the rear beam areas will also be welded up before the new panels go in.
Not quite just air ride anymore, but it’ll be right when it leaves 👌
