New tyres for the Renault 5 Extra(Express) Van. Decided to go down to the original OEM size of 185/55/15. Not much choice about and Toyo T1R wouldn't be my first, even though they aren't too bad. Never tried the newer version though, so we will see! But they are more than adequate for the whole 48bhp the van has!

Even though it's only a couple of years old, if that, the blue on the Renault Sport steering wheel had really started to faid and look a bit tired, even though the car lives in a garage! Anyhow, I took the decision to dye the blue to black to match the rest of the steering wheel and give it more of an OEM+ look. Really happy with how it has come out, you can still very slightly see the blue through, but its not really noticeable. I'll give it another couple of coats of dye at some point during summer. What do you all think?

Just cleaned the underside of the Clio Maxim with the hot soapy industrial pressure washer in the yard. I can't imagine the underside has ever been cleaned and I'll be honest, it has come up much better than I thought! Now I'm not going to the extent of painting the whole underside like I am currently doing on my Renault Extra van, but I will be painting the subframe, rear beam and a few other bits just to tart it up under there and protect it. I'll then possibly Lanoguard the whole underside to protect it. But overall, its looking pretty good!

I've just finished restoring this Renault 5 GT Turbo steering wheel which I bought for my Renault Express (Extra) Van. The original leather was in great condition and cleaned up lovely, then the rusty boss and scratched centre spokes of the wheel were sanded right back and painted with 4 light coats of Satin Tough Black spray paint. All put back together with brand new stainless steel bolts to the same spec as original, but never going to rust like the old ones did! With the centre badge part having a really good scrub up, I'm very happy with how this has come out, looks as good as it possibly can without being brand new!

Out with the old and in with the new! As you may have noticed in the previous post, I've put my new plate on the Clio Maxim. Really happy that it is still the same amount of digits as its original plate and also has 21 on it! OEM+! I will at some point, get a replica of the original dealer plates made with the DDM reg so it looks original OEM, but thats for another day.

Looking better for a quick wash! Not exactly the weather for it, but i really wanted to get the thick mud off the sides ...
