IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

THE TIME HAS COME - WE ARE CLOSING DOWN

This is written with a very heavy heart but sadly time has caught up with me.

As I approach my 69th birthday and not in the best of health I have decided I can no longer ignore my family's wishes and have decided to call it a day.

For the last year I have attempted to find a suitable “proprietor” to take over the running of the business - but sadly have had no success.

This is perhaps not too surprising as the last 3 years can only be described as hellish and a constant battle to keep going for ourselves and countless other small businesses. The fact we have lasted so long is down to you - our customers. Your continued support has been nothing short of fantastic and both myself and the team would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.

Mostly I would like to thank the great team I have had around me for many years. Mark - Andy - Janet and Joanne - my bookkeeper. I cannot find enough words to thank them for their service - commitment - loyalty and understanding.

Finally, I would like to thank our suppliers - their support over many years has been invaluable.

I was fortunate to source this locally – It was first registered with POLAR FORD in Wilmslow and then very shortly afterwards purchased by its one local lady owner. To get a very good Ford Focus with lower than average mileage relative to age is a real find – to get one which is Automatic is a real bonus. Needless to say - I had to pay top money to get my hands on it!

These are one of the most popular second-hand cars for a reason. This one is in above-average condition both inside and out. It comes with a fair bit of paperwork from a local independent garage. If looked after there is no reason this should not last a good few years. There is a commonly held view that once you drive an Automatic you will never go back to a Manual – I would definitely go along with that.

Decent cars in this “budget” price range have become increasingly difficult to source and I suspect this will not be with me very long – I only wish I could get my hands on another 100 like this. This is a little corker – so good when I bought it in July last year I kept it for a – Courtesy car and running errands. Over the last 10 months, it has done around 4k miles AND has never missed a beat. Why is it going now? Because I have a few “new” courtesy cars and frankly this is too good to have standing about. For its age, it is in very good condition both inside and out. Let’s face it – it is not the sexiest car in world and I would not use it for a first date BUT if the fundamentals are your priority –namely – It starts – it runs – the heater and radio works AND it does lots of miles to the gallon – then this is a great candidate. It has the usual scuffs / scratches and d***s – there is a crack on front bumper and passenger side front door central locking seems “kaput” but nothing of any consequence AND it is 15 years old.

I have been hoping to get this for some time – A really smashing car owned by nice people. You would be very hard pushed to find one as good as this.

In every sense, this is a “Goldilocks” car – Just Right!

Very low miles + Only 2 Owners + Great Service History. This car is well known to us over the years and has been extremely well maintained. It is in great condition both inside and out and provided it is looked after has many years of life ahead of it.

I chose the Polo for my 2 daughters as their first cars – I wanted safe – reliable and well-engineered – that is exactly what you get.

The current used car market is just crazy with ridiculous prices for cars I would not give workshop room to – getting a gem like this is a real bonus. This deserves to go to a good home and I do not anticipate it being with me very long.
