A pair of customised painted Recaros we did.

Customised official FIA Recaro seats , all trims and cloths removed , few masking up , belt holes sealed before paint . It was a pair of, i kick myself for not taking a pic of the second one , which was drying at the time of this picture . 🙄

Some polishing, painted up against 20yr old paint without blending the colour to adjacent panels . It’s as good as it going to get without doing the blends . Customer hasn’t asked for a blend , and in my book the customer is always right . If they give me the nod to do it , then so be it . Still have to finish the pop on bumper moulding , that’s why it’s not on there on the right of the picture or passénger side on the bumper . Literally 30 min job when it’s the right one . Waited a whole week for paint to be matched to the sample panel i lent them to work from , went to pick it up , and they said they’ve done nothing to it , so I really didn’t know what was going on . Customer agreed on the spray out sample we provided to place on an area to check , before any painting took place .

Two stage polishing job + some carnauba wax. On this lovely V8 Rover , brigade red .It was Painted in 97 , paint was suffering wear on surface from protective cover , which was causing a haze effect from friction from the cover . Every thing back to normal, paint is very thick so we have plenty of room for more machine polishing ,and some advice on new covers .

Someone hit our car without leaving details , luckily the vehicle was covered by CCTV. So once we confronted the driver , all he said was , you’re a painter aren’t you ? I said that’s correct but what’s that got to do with you damaging the car and driving off ? I said what about 3 days labour and all the paint and materials , why does it have to affect my pocket ? Hmmm he said , I’m not insured 🙄 righteo i said . So you will paying from your own pocket ? He said will it any more than £20 . I had to walk away , and let someone else deal with as my blood pressure was hitting the red . As the car was in a body shop car park , the body shop owner said , don’t worry we will pay you to fix it , and anything else wrong with body just do it . Obviously very thankful for the gesture, kind of feel guilty in some way now . Can’t believe all the stress it has caused . If we had of gone through the insurance sadly they would have written it off due to be an uneconomical repair .
