🏎CLAY PIGEON RACEWAY🏎

We spent the weekend away at Clay Pigeon Raceway with Darryl taking part in their National Kart Cup.
Lydd kart shop are by far the best supporters. Darryl would not have made it where he did without them ❤️
Your teamwork, skills and company are massively appreciated.

Darryl has never raced this track before and joined 31 other 177’s in his group. We had a brilliant weekend.
Darryl managed to over take a large number of drivers on the first two heats and set him self up the front ready for the final.

Here are the results of race day:

Qualified: 22nd
Heat 1: 12th
Heat 2: 6th with the fastest lap time of the race.
Final: after absolutely smashing the first two heats and placing himself 4th in the final, Darryl unfortunately collided with another driver who cracked his rim, losing half of it and leading to a burst tyre on the track and a bent axel.

The result was gutting but the experience was amazing. Very proud 🏎❤️

Sunday 30th - Buckmore park, Race day 🏎

Darryl Maxwell took part at Buckmore park this weekend. He spent 2 days practicing at the track spending a lot of time getting the kart setup right.

It was a difficult weekend for Darryl with getting to know a new track and racing some of their locals and fast drivers.

Heat 1 and heat 3 showed it’s challenges. One resulted in another kart on top of Darryl leading damage.

Buckmore do not qualify on race day, the start positions vary.
Results are as follows:
Heat 1: 10th
Heat 2: 6th
Heat 3: 10th
Final: 4th

Well done to Darryl and as usual a massive thank you to all the sponsors.
Also a very big thank you and shoutout to Ben Lydd kart shop for helping with the kart setup, axel changes, tips and continued support. Couldn’t have done it without you!

Today Darryl Maxwell took part in the BMKR race at Bayford Meadows against a very quick line up, British standard.
Darryl has driven here once before, a good few years ago. So the track was relatively new, not like our home track - Lydd Kart Circuit
With no practice on Saturday and a last minute decision to rock up on race day, there was a struggle getting the Kart setup a good match to the track.
With the support of Ben, Lydd kart shop the following results were as follows:

Qualifying - 8th
1st heat - 4th
2nd heat - 3rd
Final - 6th

Round 5!

TMR did a great job today under very poor weather conditions. 💦

Well done Chris Chapman with your following results in the 162’s:
Qualified - 6th
Heat 1 - 5th
Heat 2 - 3rd after receiving a 5 second penalty, due to a dropped bumper.
Final: 3rd! 🏆

Well done to Darryl Maxwell also, with his following results in the 177’s:
Qualified - 1st
Heat 1 - 1st
Heat 2 - 1st
Heat 3 - 1st 🏆
