UK weather doesn't just mess with your weekend BBQ plans—it changes your tyre pressure, too!

As a rule of thumb, every 10°C shift in temperature alters tyre pressure by 1–2 PSI. That means the change from summer to winter can swing your tyre pressure by up to 15%!

Why does this matter?

Incorrect tyre pressure messes with your steering, lengthens braking distances, hurts fuel efficiency, and wears out tyres much faster.

Quick Safety Checklist:

1️⃣ Check monthly: Use a tyre pressure gauge at least once a month (even if you haven't been driving much).

2️⃣ Don't rely solely on TPMS: Built-in dashboard warnings are great, but they won't tell you if your tyres are over-inflated!

3️⃣ Inspect for damage: Look for cuts or bulges to nip potential blowouts in the bud.

The Test Centre carries out more than 80,000 MOT tests each year and is expanding. You'll help shape our public image through PR, social media, video, events and digital marketing.

What You'll Do

• Write press releases
• Film and edit videos for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
• Manage Google Ads and website content
• Organise events and media opportunities
• Build relationships with journalists
• Create photography and graphics
• Support recruitment and employer branding

What We're Looking For ?

Degree in PR, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Media. Excellent writing skills, creativity, confidence and enthusiasm.

Knowledge of Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Ads or WordPress is an advantage.
