Cordwallis MAN Truck Centres

Cordwallis MAN Truck Centres Cordwallis Commercials is one of the UK's leading MAN dealerships in Heathrow, Bicester & Reading.

From the earliest days in business, transport played a key role in the evolution of the Cordwallis Group. With its initial roots operating in crane hire, recycling and demolition after the war, the business steadily moved forward to the supply and support of MAN trucks and buses from 1980 - with it's official appointment as the MAN Franchise holder for West London and the Thames Valley. In fact, C

ordwallis Commercials (as it was back then), based in Maidenhead, became one of the UK's very first franchised dealers for MAN. With a tradition of looking after its customers needs - both effectively and reliably, Cordwallis Commercials rapidly began to build a reputation within local transport circles for delivering both quality trucks and buses plus strong and professional after sales support. The business has grown steadily and now operates from three support locations within the Thames Valley: Heathrow, Oxford and Reading, the business has retained its Maidenhead facility as its 'Administration Centre' for the Cordwallis Group.

We crunched the numbers - then we unwrapped the snack. 🍫⚡

The UK produces an estimated 289,000 tonnes of chocolate every year, from boxed assortments to bars, spreads, and seasonal favourites.

Now imagine shifting every pallet of that using zero tailpipe emissions.

Here’s the breakdown using the MAN eTGX:

🔋 Estimated payload: up to 18 tonnes per vehicle
📦 Total journeys required: 16,056 electric truckloads
⚡ Range per charge: Up to 800 km daily range

From long-distance freight to last-mile supermarket deliveries, electric haulage isn’t just possible, it’s powerful.

*CORDWALLIS HEATHROW - OPEN AS USUAL - Friday 21st March*

Good morning

You may have heard on the news this morning that a fire at an electrical substation in Hayes has caused Heathrow Airport to close until Midnight tonight.

Please be assured that Cordwallis Heathrow are just outside the area that has been affected by the power outage and we remain open for business.

Traffic in the area is expected to be heavier than usual as people find alternative routes around the closed airport.

Thank you.

Cordwallis Reading - Update

Good evening all.

Firstly thank you to our Brands, Friends through the Dealer Networks, Customers and Employees for all your offers of help whilst we deal with the aftermath of the flooding at Reading.

The team have made a truly fantastic effort today to clean up the site - I am astounded by what’s been achieved.

We are working hard to ensure the site is fully sanitised for the health and safety of our staff, contractors and customers.

We are working with MAHA Maschinenbau Haldenwang to ensure that our brake testing facilities are replaced timely so to meet your requirements and our obligation as an Approved Testing Facility for the DVSA.

Thank you for your patience. Where possible our Heathrow and Bicester branches may be able to assist you with any Inspection and Servicing needs. We are still operating our 24/7 Breakdown Service from Reading and hope to bring you another update tomorrow on when business will resume - perhaps not quite as we’ve known it but a good first step.

Many thanks
Lisa Thomas

Announcement - Flooding at Cordwallis Reading

Unfortunately this weekend Cordwallis Reading suffered with severe flooding. For Monday 8th January we will be unable to operate a normal service from the site whilst we evaluate and clear up.

We have attempted to make contact with all our customers with bookings for Monday to notify them of the issues we’re currently dealing with. Please do not bring any vehicles to site until notified to do so and should you have a vehicle with us, please be assured that vehicles are unaffected by the flooding.

Our ATF facility will also be unable to operate.

The team will be working hard to clean up the site and update customers tomorrow but we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this next stage.

Thank you
Lisa Thomas
