🏍️: Multistrada V4 S Pikes Peak
🛠️: Service/Accessories

When Ducati announced the V4 it sent shockwaves around the hardcore, Ducati-can-only-be-twins supporters. When they introduced valves springs instead of the Desmo was a much quieter affair, but I always considered this a much bigger change as the Desmo has always been the USP of their bikes, and this was an interesting new direction.

The idea was about servicing intervals and costs, as well as production costs I guess.
I guess this makes sense on a tourer like the Multi, that has long established itself as the most popular model on the line up.

This was the first chance I had to work on a Granturismo engine and got to say it’s truly something remarkable. The whole bike is built in a very mechanic friendly way, without the usual quirk and over complicated ways of only a few years ago.

Panel fitting is perfect, with room to manoeuvre them to get them fitted, all electrical connections are neatly organised and fasteners are top quality.

The engine is unreal, does everything well and it’s easy to ride fast and handles well at low speed. Even for me (I’m 1.75m) is easy to get on and off and in the stand. It’s fairly big thought so I just wish they did a “city” version, 80% of the size like a big Hypermotard.

🏍️: Triumph T100
🛠️:Fabrication/tidying up

Here’s a bike build originally by someone else that needed a bit of tidying up and a few checks.

Got the bike on the bench, sorted out everything that the customer asked and is now the bike how they wanted it.

If you had a bike build and you’re not sure it is what you were expecting or you want a change of direction, get in touch and we see what we can do to sort it out.

🛠️: service/repair/manufacturing

Some things you just can’t buy. History and patina are two of them, and this bike has them in spades.

Bought in NY, traveled all the way to California to then be shipped to the UK, it’s safe to say its owner don’t want to separate from it. And rightly so.

Originally a 850 it has all the right upgrades, and it looks so good, every little imperfections a story, and there lies the beauty of it. In for a couple of parts, we were able to make them from scratch.

We work on all ages of European motorcycles, from classic to modern and have the ability to manufacture and repair obsolete or no longer available parts either through reverse engineering or design.

🏍️: Ducati SportClassic
🛠️: service/repair/custom

I’ve talked about this bike before, when it was all matt black. Following a small accident we took the chance to respray in this super gloss beige, which contrasts the black frame nicely.

The bike sports a set of Termignoni megaphones, Ohlins shocks, fork internals, Rizoma indicators, mirror, grips and brake and clutch reservoirs.

There’s very little out there in terms of Sport Classic for sale, and quite rightly so as these bikes are a really good ride, so people keep hold onto them.
Also I’m expecting another jump in value in 3-5 years so it’s worth holdings onto them or trying to acquire one.

We offer an appraisal and valuation service so get in touch if you’re thinking about getting your next bike.

🏍️: Yamaha TTR 250
🛠️: Fault finding/recommissioning

Japanese bikes are not really my bag but I will always make an exception for a 90s off road thumper. I love to work on them as they’re on the cusp of tech, but still raw enough to be a “mechanic’s bike”

This TT-R is an interesting one owner Japanese import motorcycle, with a history to go with it.
After being stored for more than a decade it was understandably reluctant to start, due to a combination of age and attempts to repair gone wrong.

I always starts with the basics: carb clean and rebuild, set timing and valve clearance and a few other checks but the bike was still reluctant to run well. This was traced to a misaligned oring in the inlet, one of those attempts I mentioned earlier.

For obvious reason a number of other parts were replaced, including tires, some electrics had to be made up (Japanese bikes of that era missed a number of features, like indicators, stop lights and horns..) as well as some consumables.
After a few test & set up runs the bike was delivered to the customer for an MOT.

Few hours later got this message:

Hi Max.

The MoT all went to plan. I had a great burn around town afterwards and the bike pulled really well!

Not bad for a 25 year old bikes, that sat unused for a decade or so.
Worth noting these bikes are creeping up
in value, a combination of nostalgia, people wanting an easy ride for the trails and a resurgence in trail riding as a cheap alternative. And they’re probably the best era as they’re super reliable but don’t need the extra maintenance costs associated with later, liquid cooled 4stroke bikes.

🏍️: Ducati Monster 900S
🛠️: Service/light resto

Iconic motorcycle alert: the Monster 900. And not just any M900, but an M900S with a bunch of period correct, mostly unobtainable parts, like the RoadRacing parts.

Bike came in for a light restoration job and some mechanical work. I took my time as I wanted to get this right but now is as good as it gets, starts on the button and rides really, really well.

I often say I’m not the fastest at getting this kind of jobs done because I like to take my time, and release a bike into the owner’s hands only when I’m 100% happy with it.

This was actually the issue with the bike when it came in. It had been to other workshops for various jobs but some of the underlying issues had not been resolved. I’m not going to lie, these are bikes that take time to get right and a lot of fine tuning is required. Also sometimes they’ll throw a tantrum just because.

Still, all is forgiven as they look absolutely amazing, and are just as good now as when they were presented. Miguel Galluzzi masterpiece.

🏍️: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650
🛠️: Service/ Brakes Upgrades

I can’t take the credit for this one, as it was built by but it is done to such a high level that needs to be showed off.

Bike was in for a service following the Great Malle Rally and a quick upgrade to one of finest radial front brake master cylinder and custom brake and clutch line.

It’s a long list of mods on this and the pictures don’t do it justice but my personal favourites are the bates style headlight, the Baak handlebars and the switchgear/speedo, making it a really clean section of the bike, without compromising on the functionality of it.

I like long terms projects and this feels like one of them, where time is taken to pick parts and is a journey, giving time to find the right balance.

The owner is obviously very comfortable with modifying his bike himself but if you don’t have the time, space or inclination to do these changes by yourself get in touch to see how we can help.

So well done to for this great build. I hear he’s got some more mods brewing so watch this space and give him a follow.

Sport1000 Monoposto

These bikes really need no introduction as they’ve been gaining popularity and value steadily over the last few years.

Ahead of their time in their retro look they’re now lusted after by pretty much anyone that casts an eye on them and coveted by their owners.
There are lots of small details that make this bike pretty, but a favourite are the double stack Termignoni: great design, with a sound to match.

This bike got to the Officina for a belt service and a good check over. During this process the timing was found slightly off and the dry clutch was also replaced.
A number of other areas were attended to during the service, all helping in fine tuning the bike to get the most out of these brilliant machines.

Watching .93 win on Saturday was nothing short of amazing as we had to battle through a few issues before it all came together. Jack lap times were just so consistent and that’s what made all the difference in the end.

Was great to have a good crowd in the stands again, and the organised two great days of racing.

Thanks to & for the support and all the people that make this possible.
We’ll be back going in circles next weekend for an epic TT round at
