Honda CB750 K2 — getting it dialled in properly 🔧🇯🇵
Carbs stripped and set, float heights and jetting checked, intake system inspected, valve clearances and cam chain adjusted, plus a few repairs along the way.
Then onto that notorious CB750 clutch rattle… With 60k on the clock and the original primary chain tensioner still fitted, it’ll never be completely silent — but some careful tuning has eliminated around 99% of it. Night and day difference. 👌
Finished with fresh filters and the correct 10W-40 mineral oil from Motul.
Now she sounds and runs as good as she should. 🔥

The paintwork had been redone in the past but was starting to show its age, so a light one-stage cut and polish has brought it nicely back to life.

Finished off with some subtle detailing and polishing — nothing overdone. It all blends beautifully with the age and character of the bike.

Honda GL1000 back on the ramp 🔧

Fresh cam belts fitted, Dyna ignition timing dialled in and, as you might notice, the engine is looking a little fresher too — no more flaky paint 👌

Finished off with a digital carb balance. The cherry on the cake 🍒

Honda GL1000 Goldwing up on the ramp for its recommission. 🔧

First job was addressing something a little more serious — a damaged centre stand and a section of the frame that had suffered from corrosion and become twisted over the years.

With it being a structural and safety-critical repair, this wasn't an area for compromise. I entrusted Dan at Atherton Creative Engineering to carry out the fabrication and repair work — a job that needed experienced hands and needed to be done properly.
With the welding now complete and the integrity of the frame restored, it's back in my hands and time to move on with the rest of the recommission.

Plenty of work went into getting this bike properly sorted, and the best way to finish it off — a trip to Donington Park for a few laps around the track.
