1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II

Registration No: PAU 913W (GUW 1 — this registration does not go with the car).
Chassis No: SRH0041392

Blue with Magnolia interior First registered on 1st October 1980 and went into first ownership. Sold back to Mann Eggerton Rolls-Royce dealers Nottingham and into Roger Frederick Coulter on 12th February 1988 with a recorded mileage of approximately 78,000.

On 20th October 1990 was sold to Philip Charles Widdowson with approximately 85,000 miles recorded. Mr Widdowson was a renowned Rolls-Royce electrician working for Ristes Motors and specialising in rebuilding, rewiring and upgrading prestige motor cars. The car remained in his ownership until his death in January 2021, at which stage the recorded mileage was just 100,366 miles. During his ownership Philip had added many high quality modifications.

The current owner purchased the vehicle on 8th March 2022 as he did not want to see such as wonderful vehicle go to the open market. Since then he has dealt with the only outstanding matter, which was some of the wood capping needing treatment, which were removed and brought up to as new standard by ex-Bentley employees now working independently in Crewe.

1969 Daimler Sovereign 4.2

Registration No: YUY 171G (1 GUW – this registration does not go with the car).
Chassis No: 1A33301BW

• Current ownership since April 2020, only 3 previous owners and 55,500 miles • Restored several years ago, retaining its original interior trim • History files includes a full-page Jaguar Driver magazine feature
• Excellent opportunity to acquire an attractive example of this much underrated Daimler Saloon in perhaps the best colour combination. First registered on 1 April 1969 YUY was in the hands of its first owner until July of 1983 when acquired by the previous owner who was to tackle a program of restoration between 1987 and 2006, spending in excess of £15,000 to bring YUY back into good order.

Works included replacement of some body panels and a repaint in Opalescent Blue with retention of original dark blue hide interior, engine recommissioning including replacement of cylinder head gasket and carburetor overhaul, new distributor, alternator exhaust system, replacement radiator, transmission, suspension, and brake overhaul including the replacement of front calipers, etc.

Following restoration YUY was featured in a Jaguar Driver magazine, copies of which are included in the supportive history file along with restoration and services invoices, old MoT's etc.

1945 Willys Jeep
Reg: 906XUS
Chassis: MB408583

This is a genuine World War Two Willys Jeep, used for transporting aircrew to their aircraft. The chassis number sequence shows it was manufactured in January 1945. UK registered in February 2009.

Since then, it has had two registered keepers overall, and the odometer shows 09317 miles. The Jeep is finished in RAF livery, with appropriate dash plates, having been resprayed at some point. It has been in regular use, but kept in a garage when not being driven, and serviced and MoT'd annually.

It is running and driving with working brakes.

Paperwork includes the V5C, current Mot certificate and a single invoice from August 2022 for an oil service along extensive photographs from its refurbishment.

1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Hooper Limousine
Chassis No. FLW34
Reg. No. TGA 481

A late Silver Wraith, very desirable and rare, being long wheelbase, 4.9 litre with twin S.U. carburetors, and automatic with power steering. Very few were built to this specification and it really does make a difference to the driving experience, making it a true pleasure.

The spacious coachwork is in lovely condition, nicely painted in black & burgundy and the interior is particularly fine and well-appointed with superb veneers, high quality beige cloth to the rear in good condition, with a swiveling vanity mirror in the center armrest and black leather to the front, all in excellent condition.

Mechanically good too, easy to drive and with a performance edge over the earlier models.

Until 2021 the car was with one owner for 28 years, who had obviously cared for it well. The vehicle has been used little during their three years of ownership but starts on the button and runs beautifully.

1938 Rolls-Royce 25/30 Thrupp & Maberly Limousine
Chassis No. GAR49 Reg.
No. FGX 340

This car is a particularly smart, sound, very useable example of a spacious limousine from the 1930s, finished in an attractive shade of blue, including the Ace wheel discs, with black wings, black leather interior to the front, and light tan cloth to the rear (including the large occasional seats), all enhanced by particularly attractive wood veneers, in good condition.

Added to this, the car sports a handsome array of correct lamps and horns, creating an imposing frontal aspect. Running and driving nicely, and benefitting from a new cylinder head fitted several years ago. More recently, the car has been fully re-wired in correct, cloth covered cable. Amongst other things, the history file includes an old green logbook, invoices and correspondence going back to the 1960s, and a complete run of MoT certificates from 1973 to 2012, during which time the mileage has increased steadily, the car covering 39,000 miles during this period.

In fact, the car was with one owner for 36 years, from 1969 to 2007. This, combined with copies of the factory build and sales records, give us a fairly complete ownership history. Sound, clean, correct and appealing. The vehicle starts on the button and runs very smoothly.
