Morning guys! Trying to get to the bottom of a fault with a 2016 Vivaro 1.6 bi turbo Euro 5. Customer had traction light come on and it’s gone into limp mode. Virtually no turbo boost and won’t really go above 40mph. It’s previously had a DPF/EGR delete and it’s been absolutely fine until this.
Fault codes in ECU are:
C401 Invalid Injection Multiplex Signal.
C422 Invalid UCH Multiplex Signal.

Any idea TVP gurus?

Another busy week of timing chain replacements booked in and another warning light on the dash today. That’s gonna cost me a fortune! ….🙄

Half way through another busy week, this time North Wales/Liverpool/Manchester.

The first picture is a new 2.0 M9R 710 fitted to 2019 onwards Trafic and Primastar models. Similar to the earlier 2006-2014 M9R engines but different in many ways. These enquiries are coming in frequently now and we can offer a replacement service with genuine dealer kits and covers at your home or place of work.
The last picture was today’s 1.6 R9M. On revealing the timing cover sticker it seems that the van has had a replacement engine at some point so we have no idea the true mileage it has covered 🤷🏼‍♂️

Covering most of England and Wales we run a mobile timing chain replacement service.

We recommend replacement every 100,000 miles with a good service history, or sooner if it rattles from cold or when hot.

With hundreds of these replaced we have extensive knowledge in this field.

Covering the early 2.0 M9R, 2.3 M9T, later 1.6 R9M and now the newer Trafic/Primastar M9R 710 engines we fit genuine manufacturers kits at your home or place of work.
These engines can be in Trafic, Master, Vivaro, and Primastar vans but also Mercedes Vito. You will also find them in some Mercedes A and C Classes, Nissan X Trail and Qashqai and Renault Grand Scenic.

Remember, the earlier 2.0’s especially don’t normally rattle before failure. If your garage tells you to wait until it rattles find another garage!

We reset the timing back to factory too which often increases the performance and give it a ‘spring in its step’.

We can also offer Stage 1 remaps/ deletes on 2006-2018 models.

Well it’s been pretty full on already this year, touring England and Wales replacing your TVP chains. As per usual I’ve met some great people in some great places. Last week saw me in Stafford, Llandudno, Liverpool, Warrington, Burnley and Leeds. Thankfully a local week this week so home and back each day.
