A great weekend at Convoy in the park at Donnington Park, good to see all our customers and friends over the weekend. Also we are pleased to see Pointy with his new mode of transport supplied by the Solid X team, which helped him get about more, and do more interviews and made him, and his unique personality, available in more locations!
The Paddock trophy, unfortunately due to the circumstances of the last race being abandoned, we awarded it direct to the Reid Freight Racing team after the race in the paddock. This was the best option and we would like to say it was nothing to do with the accident that happened in the last race. The judging of the paddock team trophy is based on the previous work the team have done throughout the weekend to get the trucks out there for the previous races and the last race. To make it clear, it is judged by what we call the “mystery shoppers” who wander around the pits throughout the weekend. They have mechanical knowledge and then we all judge the degree of complexity that goes on throughout the weekend in keeping the teams running. Then we make an agreed decision who should be the recipient of the Solid X Paddock Team Trophy.
We hope Simon, Craig and the team are all good, We know it will put pressure on the team to get sorted, but one team who can, we are sure can, is the Reid Freight Team.
