A customer with a corsa came to me with a non runner suspect timing chain failure. Upon further inspection we found that the chain had stretched and the guides had failed. Unfortunately that has led to contact between the valves and the pistons on all cylinders. We have sent the cylinder head away for rebuild and the customer should hopefully be back on the road in no time

Today we had a customer in with their mk5 golf GTI for a routine service and generally engine maintenance. As the TFSI engines are every dependent on the oil pick up pipe and high pressure fuel pump cam follower and these two items are extremely common for failing we advised the customer to replace these.

Upon carrying out the repair we found the pick up pipe to be partially blocked and the cam follower had given way. Luckily there was no damage to the engine and with a quick replacement of the two parts they was back on their way

Customer came to me after seeing several companies asking for her car vehicle to be fixed. After discussing the issues with the customer we found that the turbo on the vehicle had excessive play and damage to the turbines. Quick turbo replacement and an oil and filter change

After fitting the turbo and getting the vehicle running I found a misfire on cylinder one. Unfortunately the garage that had carried out the engine rebuild prior to the customer buying the vehicle hasn’t carried out the correct repair

We had a customer booked in for a routine timing belt and water pump. He had a few quotes else were but we beat them on price and completed the job under book time. He is now on his way and coming back for repeat custom.

Customer came in for diesel smell under the bonnet and the vehicle cutting out after heavy load. Found the injector leak off seals were leaking on all six injectors as he had taken it elsewhere for bigger injectors fitting. Replaced the injector seals and fitted a new leak off pipe. Engine bay was cleaned and the customer was sent away happy and smell free

Customer with a Fabia Vrs complained of a whistling noise and excessive smoke out of the exhaust. Here at JW Autos we pin pointed the fault to a faulty turbo. We replaced it with a hybrid turbo which the customer supplied and had him back on the road in a matter of a few hours.
