NEW VACANCY: NDT TECHNICIAN
Skills & requirements of an NDT Technician:-

PCN or ASNT Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) would be beneficial but not essential.
• Applications are also welcome from candidates who have the appetite and energy to learn from the team. This is a rare opportunity for a role like this, where the business is looking to make a substantial investment in the right person to gain additional qualifications and build a long term career. Manufacturing experience from a Quality role (Inspector, Technicians, Auditors) would be a pre-requisite, however.
This would suit an ambitious and self-motivated character that enjoys a hands-on approach to get tasks completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:-
Reporting to the Level 2 Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing parts by Magnetic Particle Inspection to approved techniques.
White light assessment of parts to approved techniques.
Reworking identified components as required in line with SOP Documentation.
Assisting in the preparation and review of NDT techniques

Due to recent improvements and the expected growth of the business, the team is expanding, and this is a great time to join the Albon Forge team.

If you have a background in Quality Inspection or have worked at a Technician level but have little opportunity to develop, then this would be a great business to kick start your career alongside securing highly regarded qualifications. Further progression to Level 2 is a further career progression opportunity and would require strong mathematical problem solving techniques.

an experienced maintenance engineer...
with electrical bias who has worked in a forge, press shop or manufacturing environment.
Must be familiar with three phase motors, basic hydraulics and pneumatics able to fault find to PLC level.
* have a can do attitude
* be proactive in fault finding
* self motivated
* supporting a small team with day to day issues and ongoing maintenance issues.
We are after someone looking for career progression to work alongside our current maintenance supervisor for the next 12-18 months to learn the Forge equipment, processes and requirements with the view of taking over as supervisor following upcoming retirement.

Tool and Die- set up and operation of semi automated forging hammers.
Assist with maintenance of forging cells following detailed safety guidelines to support planned maintenance and ensure safety of crew.
Set up and operation of semi automated forging cell lines for the production of steel automotive components.
Maintain good housekeeping and standards, follow all H&S guidelines.
operative work could include inspection, tooling, loading/unloading of deliveries, maintenance/housekeeping etc

Fork lift truck licence opportunity if needed.
overtime available when needed.
39 hour week.
Mon-Thurs 7-4 Fri 7-12
