Well… this one got a little TOO excited and decided to welcome the owner by jumping straight onto the car 😅🚗🐾

This post contains some useful information that will hopefully help next time you ask why we recommend a blend panel. 🚗✨

When mixing paint, we always start with the vehicle’s paint code. However, most paint codes have multiple variants sometimes more than two such as lighter, darker, redder, bluer, or even a combination of these. This can make a huge difference when trying to achieve a perfect colour match.

Every now and then, on certain colours, we may advise customers to go for a blend panel repair. Why? Because we want to achieve the best possible finish on your vehicle.

Some paint colours can be very difficult to match perfectly on just one panel alone. Blending allows us to gradually match the new paint into the surrounding panels, creating a smoother and more natural finish.

Also, most cars in the UK have had some sort of previous paintwork done at some point whether it’s a bumper corner repair, a resprayed panel, or another minor repair. It’s actually very rare for us to see a car that hasn’t been touched before it comes to us. Previous repairs can affect the way the paint matches, which is another reason why blending is often the best option.

We’re not asking you to pay more for less , we’re recommending it because it helps us deliver a higher-quality repair and the best result for your car.
